Dynamic Asset Sorter

Omschrijving

Take control back from your toolbar
Features
  • Customize the order of all plobable buildings, networks, trees, props, and even transport lines tools in the UI.
  • Mix and match vanilla and custom assets together.
  • Hide unwanted icons you can't prefab skip with the Loading Screen Mod.
  • Export default settings to form the basis of your own custom config. (NEW!)

Configuration

Technical
  • This mod works by dynamicaly altering the UIPriority value of asset prefabs, which is responsible for asset ordering in the UI.
  • It also patches a few vanilla methods to allow for sorting custom assets interchangably with vanilla ones, and the ability to hide icons.

Known Issues
  • Keep in mind that each asset will use a single priority value, even if it appears multiple times.
  • Hiding all assets in a panel will result in an empty panel, and sometimes using the vanilla filter buttons can leave you with an empty panel if the only assets that are categoried under that filter are hidden.
  • Hidden assets are still loaded in the game, and you can still load saves with assets that you've decided to hide. They're just hidden from the UI.
  • You can even still access them from the Find It mod, except for transport line tools like the blimp line, since they're not really assets in the traditional sense.

Compatiblity
  • There is an issue when using the picker mod, where that mod will select the wrong item.
  • Other than that I'm not familiar with any issues.

i have no clue how to get this mod to work, im trying to find a mod that sorts assets by size and/or name and/or used or not. will this mod do that?

Problem with assets in two or more tabs is broken more then before since last update. If I want to hide asset in 2 tabs, it is not possible to me. It is hidden only in one place.

With the new export feature I am finally getting round to resorting my assets. Out of curiousity, are you able to move items between tabs? I would like to abolish "Content Creator Packs" in favour of having them be available in their correct tabs. So H_Hub02 would go in PublicTransportMetroPanel for example.

And if this is already possible how do I do this exactly, because currently I can't seem to get it to work.

I figured out the problem with necesserity of reloding settings. It is in assets which are in two tabs. For example roads with tram tracks in road tab and tram tab. Other networks too. Path x fence, path x water structures.... Can author update this mod or somebody else? It seems author more than year didn´t update or react on comments.

Is there a way to print all assets you're using (in their order) into one file?

Some asset change their position after twice reloading in game..

Hi, sorting custom assets works for some but for some doesn´t. "Sort Vanila and custom assets intechangebly" I have intentionally disabled. Any idea why some assets are not affected by changing priority in DynamicAssetSorter.ini?

Nice work. And it would be nicer if we would have more possibilities like creating new tabs and sorting them.

doesnt work with pick it mod. when you select an assest to find IT 2 and use, it uses the location of where that asset is before this mod is applied. what ever is in that current place, it uses the new sorted asset location and not where to find the assest thats been sorted into a new location.

If this could be used in-game it would be the newest must-have mod
