Plumber Kart RC: Living Room

Descripción
THERE IS A NEW VERSION WITH NEW MY NEW RC CAR CODE "Carossa" LOCATED AT: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3010983029

Welcome to Plumber Kart RC, the Mario Kart: Home Circuit knockoff nobody asked for. You can race remote control carts across the living room, and see the action up close on your Pretendo Game Tablet.

Play as the following virtual Italians:

Giuseppe
Fat Toni
Princess Nonna
Lobsta Mobsta

Is the track getting too easy? Try to rearrange or clone the furniture in the living room. You can also add one, or several of Don Persiano's optional Room-Bot robot vacuums for an extra challenge.

If you'd like a jockey-less room-bot for your own purposes, check it out here: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2535071978

Want more Tabletop Simulator Racing action? Check out Baryonyx's "Bary's Racing Maps" collection!

Want to make your own course? Do it! When you do, I would love to see it! Feel free to upload it to the workshop, and please try to share a link in the workshop discussions tab.

A note to track makers: Don't be afraid to change some settings to better fit the course you build. In physics, the bounciness of the cars can be changed to make them more stable upon impacts. Acceleration, max speed, and turning speed may all be easily edited within the scripting editor. You can thank Markimus for that one.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Why have you done this?
A: I had fun making it, someone might enjoy it.

Q: Am I allowed to modify this?
A: Yes. Of course! Please do. Please try to share it with me if you do.

Q: How does this work?
A: The karts are controlled by "Scripting Buttons". (number pad 4,5,6, and 8 by default) These buttons, when pressed by the appropriate player color, move and turn that color's kart. If your computer does not have a number pad, these controls may be rebound in the menu.

Q: Can I race using a controller?
A: Absolutely! to use a controller, go to the game configuration, then controls. uncheck "Controller" on the bottom, then bind the scripting keys. I recommend 4 (left) and 6 (right) to the joystick, 8 to A and 5 to B.

Q: What is the default track based on?
A: It is a loose recreation of Mario Circuit 1 from Super Mario Kart.

Q: Why are the karts not behaving as expected?
A: The karts will not work if the host does not have physics set to full. They also do not like being upside down, or off the ground. Karts are prone to turning over during extreme movements or upon impact with moving or stationary objects. This is intentional behavior.

Q: Why is Room-Bot not behaving as expected?
A: Please do not expect Room-Bot to behave. (Just kidding! While Room-Bot's behavior is erratic, certain things should not happen. Room-Bot can malfunction if scripting isn't set to Auto-Run, be sure not to let them loose until after you've clicked "Play Scripts". If Room-Bot gets stuck on something, they can be fixed by picking them up then dropping them again, or by bumping them with your kart. Room-Bots can unstuck each other)

Q: I want to add my own furniture/assets to the living room? What scale does this use?
A: 1 in game unit is about 4 inches/10 centimeters, I wasn't being exact with this. Karts are one unit wide, 2 units long, and 0.8 units tall.

Q: Why is Giuseppe made of pixel art?
A: He's not. His portrait was taken with a flip phone because he refuses to upgrade.

Q: Why did Fat Toni commit tax fraud?
A: All of Fat Toni's wire transfers to Switzerland were legitimate.

Q: Why does Princess Nonna make such good cookies?
A: It's a family secret.

Q: Lobsta Mobsta said I owe them money.
A: I really cannot help you, I hope you've made peace with god.

Q: Why won't Don Persiano won't get off my keyboard?
A: That is not your keyboard anymore.

Hey there! I've just played around with a ramp (default green triangle scaled to be wider and longer) in the scene and it appears that putting the ramp on the ground is a no go. You will need to use the Gizmo Move tool to put the ramp through the ground. That seems to work for me.

Also I really want to thank you for showing interest in making a map. You can add me on discord if you have any TTS modding questions. I'll DM you the info.

I've yet to really mess with things in TTS, but you mentioned making maps for this. how would I get the cars to go up ramps instead of just bumping into them and flipping over ( as they seem to do now).

I was also going to add a boring regular man in a cloud named "Lackey #2" but it never happened.

Hey Goobert! Lobsta Mobsta is a play on the rhyming name "Koopa Troopa", my representation of myself online as a crustacean, and the overall Italian theme of the characters.
