Waking up in the a pit with no memory of how you got there you are now just a bum out on the street and must fend for your self, search your immediate surroundings and you will find a couple crates and ruined cars with most likely trash and early game building materials. To your right from spawn you'll see a small shanty with a man in there named Maisner he can give you your first couple quest and teach you how to make life bringer and cardboard bedding, i recommend checking in with him every day or so and trying to get your trust up to 30 so he can teach you his basic recipes and you can bum a small amount of cash from him every day, after getting your bearings in the immediate area, you should search to the left of spawn you'll find many bins and boxes with free stuff, go in to the abandoned buildings and you'll find a camp of homeless people search around you'll find unlocked storage containers you can loot that have alcohol and some food and crafting items it doesn't count as stealing and nobody will be mad it at you, check these containers daily or every other depending on how your doing on food currently for they respawn after a short while. there's also a man with a dog there named Drax who will give you a free table and will sell you furniture. That should be what you get done within your first 5-10 minutes I also recommend just making a world to help get antiquated with the map as its hard to give directions verbally and your best off memorizing and making a mental map in your head using locations like the church, job center or charity to figure you way around. i also recommend checking out My Usual Me on YouTube hes currently doing a play through on the most recent build and just watching even the bit of the first episode can really help you get your bearings and know where to go.
