Prolog

Hello all togther !

Here is the second [of many! ;)] "free to place" [FTPS] Underground Metro Station.

I always was and still am a huge fan of the awesome Metro Overhaul Mod.
But I also was so excited last year, when the overground metro came
to the game. That opened so much possibilites to be creative and
do all the things I always wanted to do.

MOM is a great mod which provides you with a lot of very cool and convinient options,
but its also closed system and all I could add to it would be stations.

This one here is something, that I can build/create how I want it. :)
Its an alternative to the metro overhaul mod, with different opportunities.

I´ve been working on all the metro stuff for months now and this is
the continuation. Thats my biggest project and probably my favorit as well so far ! :)


About the building/ Usage

Its an invisible cube :P .. well it´s just the hull, the magic works on
the track and in the pathways. ;)

The "station" can be placed anywhere on the map. You only have to connect
at least one pathway - end (shown on the pic) to any pedestrian pathway.
(That could be my pathway, which you´ll already need for the station or any other pathway of yoour choice!)



This station can be "visually" used as a terminus station. (Every station will work as a terminus)
But I suggest that you extend the "end/tail" with a short track segement , because all the props on the track (which is basically the station) are hand placed on a 18 tiles long track,
which was connected at both ends.
The same counts for the connecting pedestrian pathways. Without an end/tail segment at the station your cims might "fly" in to the station instead of using the stairs.
(That just a visually "bug" .. it´ll work anyway)

All you need to know is on the pictures. :)

Dependencies

  • EVERY NETWORK in the list is needed to get the station to work !
  • the props are just decoration, but I highly suggest to use them
    as well. They´re for the atmosphere. ;)
    They´re also very light weight and with the help of the LSM they wont count that much.
  • the custom effect load mod is need for the station track lights. Without this mod it´ll be dark
  • Advanced Stop Selection - mod, to place the stops at the correct position.

Without these networks, the station wont load !

The dependendencies are the same for all available stations. ;)

Issues / Walkarrounds
If you encounter a "netinfo missing - error" then you forgot
to subscribe to the pathways. As mentioned before, the station wont load then.

Every station track (which is basically the station) uses the same textures as the Metro Tracks Double #01 and some additonal textures.
These additional textures will be used for all other station tracks ...
therefore your total amount of needed RAM space for the whole metro stuff be at arround 30 MB !

Not rail related but i had the array error issue for 2 weeks, took some time, the issue stopped once i removed Game Anarchy... every time i try to lay a piece of road. 9-6-2023

It seems to be an AN related error ... but a harmless one. Its "only% annoying when you select a certain network. I was able to fix it for an unreleased network and will try again to fix this and the other Metro networks as well. But that'll take some time ... at least until the next weekend.

I dug deeper into this and was able to reproduce the "array-error". I´ve done an update ... could you please check if that solved the issue at your end ?

The issue seems to be only on your side. I´ve checked everything and cant reproduce the it.
Putiing down the station works fine, no error. Laying down only the tracks works fine, no error ... using NC also doesnt produce an error at my end.
The station tracks are "simple" networks ... nothing "special" about them. I´m sorry that it doesnt work for you, but I cant "fix" that ...
