These are amazing for starting out/ dog fighting in general. I prefer the stiff resistance of the 3D when fighting Thargoids over my X52. They are also really easy to repair.

Good joystik. I start Elite with it too)

My binds are:
1. Primary Fire
2. Secondary Fire
3. Target ahead
4. Boost
5 & 6 for left and right menus
7. switch fire group
8. supercruise/ hyperspace
9. Hardpoints
10. Landing Gear
11 & 12 are utility and I don't remember exactly
Throttle is 0-100 and hat switch is power distribution

I have one of these :)
But I use a controller, might give this a look though.
