This is just showing how many wins it took for me to get out of Silver Hell. But it IS possible as the proof I am showing you here. But first, let me give you some backstory.

I played CS when it was FREE with Half Life 1. A mod that came with the game. This was way back in 2000. Fast forward to CS-GO, I bought the game in November 2014. I bought the Vanguard Operations as well, so I was doing well. It took some time for me to get back into it as I have not played CS in years when I purchased CS-GO. I started off at Silver 2. I worked my way all the way up to MG1 in less than a year. (See Rank before the 2015 Winter Update)

Then the Winter UPDATE of 2015 hit.... Valve changed everything on how elo works and went to a different way of how people will now rank up. This in conjunction that the update was released right in time for the Christmas Holidays, so every smurf and cheater was home for 2 weeks. They also introduce the HIGHLY OVERPOWERED R8 Pistol which devastated the community. During the 2 weeks of playing, I watched my rank slowly drop and drop and drop after every 2nd or 3rd loss. I lost about 18 games in a row.... Not even close losses. Not one of those games did my team even win more than 5 rounds... By the end of January my ranks were rekt. I was even playing with a group of people who were pretty good as well as a team and we all got beaten down. I stopped playing Competitive for over 2 years.

I have only played Competitive for Operation missions only. Seeing after time I thought maybe that the ranking system would have settled almost everyone, but nope. I would be ranked at Silver 2 again, and dealing with Silver 3 players playing like DMG's... Smurfs, right? Carrying their team. Sometimes I saw the blatant cheater. It was not often that I got a fair game (even if I lost). So how does one get out of Silver Hell? It dawned on my that in order to get out of silver hell, you have to have better people on your team. I was not looking to be carried, but I was looking for a good team. In my opinion, lower ranked players were hard to deal with teamwise. I found a great group of people and I began to get my mojo back. Slowly now I am crawling out of Silver HELL. I am not even bottom fragging, I am keeping my own with them and even doing better than the GN 1's on the team at times.
