Fairly simple. Almost everyone in DayZ vanilla is a di*k and will usually just kill you on sight. You should just do the same so you get all of their loot and make them mad, so they have to respawn and get all of that sweet loot all over again. Very simple, kill or be killed. So why not just kill all in your way and be a legend.

Not everyone is a bad person in dayz some players are ACTUALLY FRIENDLY. It's your trust level. Understand shooting people can't be the only solution just to not trust them. You should probably get to know them. But I'm not saying that have your guard down always. You should always have your guard up when meeting a new player. It's a tip to see what they really are as a player.

Fairly simple as I said, kill all u come across and be a legend. If u want to make friends to play DayZ with theres always RP server or steam discussions, steam groups etc.
