Story Based
These are unmissable:
  • Setting Forth
  • Handy
  • Helpful Sid - There are 2 pieces on the fences by the houses, 1 by your conversation with Ethan, 1 on the cow (use the rooster), and 1 to the far north in the field.
  • Journey's End
  • Good Host
  • Flow
Apartment
  • Fashionista: Access the wardrobe to change your outfit. Can also be done at Mom's House. You do not actually have to change outfits for this to trigger
  • Sneaky / Honest Sid: SAVE FIRST SO YOU CAN DO BOTH. (a) Talk to the lady and get her to distract Fernandes. Then hit both quicktime events. (b) Talk to Fernandes and give him the 2nd answer, which is the truth.
Ethan's House
  • Who's a good boy: Pet the dog inside Ethan's House; this is a cutscene trigger that's easy to get
  • Misty memories: Talk to Ethan's Mom twice (do this before laundry!) for 1 of the memories. Look at the photo to the left of the TV for the other.
  • A good aim: During or after the laundry, help the kids get the soccer ball out of the tree. Not hard, just trigger the scene and you have to do it. Controls aren't great.
Beach
  • Swim!: Before or after getting the cups, go into the water
  • Beach lover: At the end of this scene, you'll transition to 1st person and be in the water. Just stay there for 5 minutes and the achievement will trigger. Boring.
Mom's House
  • A Legend in the Making - When you enter your bedroom, you'll go back to the fantasy tale and find a temple where time stands still. Before having your wounds healed, speak to the knight sitting on a bench. After speaking to him once and hearing his story, speak to him a second time and select the 1st option (to leave).
Ending
SAVE BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR CHOICE SO YOU CAN LOAD AND PICK THE OTHER.
Your best place to save is while talking with the wizard, before giving him the book.
  • Mono no aware: Choose to sell the house
  • Nostalgia: Choose to keep the house

Hope you enjoy the guide! Give it a thumbs up if it helped.

There will be 2 quicktime events that display on screen. You need to press the correct button for each, and then you won't trip.

Hello, how do I get the Sneaky achievement? I tried talking to the lady but I always trip over the fence once Mr Fernandes was distracted.

Thanks! what you said worked. I loaded my save and went directly to the knight after the welcome talk. I did not interact with anything or anyone and this time I had the option to talk to him.

I did it at my first possible opportunity. On a different playthrough, I attempted to talk to him after getting refreshed and resting, and it didn't work.

Hi!
When exactly are we able to speak to the knight on the bench? Both times I was at the temple place, whenever I was around him I did not have a "talk" floating text to interact with him. I am wondering if it is bug.

Great guide thanks!
Since it's impossible to save during the ending choice itself I think it's best to save when
speaking to the wizard before bringing him the book.
And a tiny correction for the Apartment section; you distract / steal the keys from Mr. Fernandes not Jacobs.

Thanks; I didn't talk to Ethan's Mom a second time, until after the laundry. That's what the issue was. Guide updated and complete!

Yep... the conversation with Ethan's mom worked great! I finally asked in the discussion because I had examined everything in the game through two times through and still had not discovered this one. For me, the photo triggers the 'look up' and the other has you sitting on a shore. I looked at the photo first.
