Right, but bombs and dynamite can't explode any of the crap I actually want to mine (see: meteorite, hellstone, any hardmode ore) and the only other "options" given are only post-moonlord. Drills aren't going to help me nearly as much with mining the chlorophyte I'll end up needing as a ranger or mage. They also don't have the extremely convenient perk of being an axe as well. Meanwhile, mining potions and food items are extremely easy to make when you're farming potions (as you should be on expert or master mode) and the chisel is an insane free mining speed buff. I'll admit the cake and armor aren't really necessary or worth it though.

They were always better, the shitty combined pick and axe is trash.
