1. Immediately run to the large stalagmite ahead of you and slightly to the left.

2. Keep this between you and Gwyn at all times. Leave a few extra steps of distance while he swings his sword at you.

3. While he's in his walk animation, peek our slightly on the right-side of the rock so he can see you. We want him to go for the grab.

4. Step back to avoid the grab, then get a few quick hits in.

5. Repeat.

Optional (but recommended):

6. Fight him again, but actually use the skills you've learned throughout the game. The above method is not fun or rewarding, but it works.
