I would also recommend to play with short-shifting - shifting up earlier than needed - to ease the throttle control a bit, especially in rain-stages.
A couple things you may be able to additionally offer guidance on:
Hitting a bump causes the car to flip end over end, seemingly endlessly. Even if hitting the bump happens as slowly as 10 MPH. Can this be avoided somehow?
Any chance you might have an opportunity to focus on the use of the handbrake? It seems to perform differently from any other driving game I've played on Steam. (Certainly over 1,000 total hours, online and off.)
