Guide for Ascension - 2021

Here is the Easter Egg Guide for Ascension. I have wrote up a walkthrough with screenshots each step of the Easter Egg and done my very best to explain in depth each step in an easy to understand way. Hopefully, this guide is inviting and intuitive for all.

Fact: This Guide was coincidentally wrote up and published on Easter Day, 2021.

Requirements
For this Easter Egg, you will need:
  • Four Players
  • Good verbal timing coordination
  • Gersh Device
  • Matryoshka Dolls
  • Upgraded Ray Gun (Porter's Mk II Ray Gun)
  • Upgraded Ray Gun Mk 2 (Porters X2 Ray Gun)
  • Upgraded Thundergun (Zeus Cannon)
Main Easter Egg
The Ascension Easter Egg requires four players to complete and cannot be done with any less than four (without mods).

Step 1
To begin, you need to get the Gersh device from the Mystery Box. When obtained, you need to go to the area near the Widows Wine machine is facing the country yard. Here, you will see a large cube like machine that has electrical conductors protruding.
Throw a Gersh device at the machine to pull the device into the singularity.
This will move the machine to its target location near the Stamin-Up Luna Lander. From here, navigate to the Stamin-Up Lunar Lander and find a monitor underneath some stairs leading to a Zombie barrier.
Interact with this monitor to activate the first Node on the Casimir Mechanism. You will see lights on the base of this machine indicating activated Nodes (There are four in total).

Step 2
You need to wait for a Monkey round to occur as this step may only be completed within Monkey rounds. Four buttons will spawn in pre-set areas of the map as the Monkey round starts.
They are small buttons that look like this below:

The buttons spawn:
Directly across from the Jugger-Nog machine
Right on the left side of Stamin-Up
On the right side of Speed Cola on the right side of the doorway facing the Luna Lander
On the adjacent wall on the left of Widows Wine
During this round, all four players must go to a button and coordinate their interaction for synchronous activation. The four buttons must be activated at the same time so having verbal communication is key. When all four buttons have been activated together, they will disappear into the wall alongside a successful beep. The second Casimir Mechanism Node will now be activated.


Step 3
At this point, you must have access to the Pack-A-Punch machine. For ease, you might want to have a crawler here. Have all four players navigate to the platform below where the Rocket Engines would rest.
When all players stand in the area, note that the clock on the wall will begin to function. Players must stand on the platform for one minute (one full clock rotation). Players may walk around on the platform but cannot leave the platform.
When one minute is up, the clock will dematerialise and the Ascension Base computer will confirm activation of the third Casimir Mechanism Node.

Step 4
The fourth step is about riding Lunar Landers from the correct places to the correct destinations. One player must sit on the Lunar Lander whilst others in the game must call the Lander to the different stations. The objective here is to correctly spell the word "L-U-N-A" as the letters will be afloat in the air.
Have the lander called to the stations in this order:
Spawn to Trip Mines/Stamin-up
Trip Mines/Stamin-up to Spawn
Spawn to Sickle/Speed Cola
Sickle/Speed Cola to Trip Mines/Stamin-up
After passing through all the letters to spell L-U-N-A, the Ascension Base computers will announce the fourth and final Casimir Mechanism Node has been activated.

Step 5
For this final step you will need to everything listed in the Requirements tab. In the area between Stamin-Up and it's adjacent Luna Lander is the Casimir Mechanism. Four lights will be illuminated on the base of the machine indicating it is ready.

In the direction the machine is facing you'll find a glowing Orb on the ground.

This is the scientist known as Doctor Anton Gersh in a non-corporeal form. This is the voice who has been asking for your help since the start if the game fearing Samanthas arrival. Throw a Gersh Device at the Orb alongside Matryoshka Dolls and begin to fire all weapons at the Orb.

Constantly fire everything you can until the Orb begins to rise. You'll hear Doctor Gersh begin to thank you as he leaves the Ascension Base.


Here is the conclusion of the Easter Egg. You will be awarded all Perks and a 90 seconds Death Machine. There is no achievement for this Easter Egg.
