Simple train station configurations

Just simple train station builds to make your life easier :)

Uses only 2 types of signals: Paths signal and block signal

Ro-Ro stations can handle high amounts of traffic. I tend to run 40+ trains on my railways and have no issues with stations.

Terminus stations can't handle that much and I only use them for a couple of trains.



*Ro-Ro stands for roll-on roll-off, meaning trains come in one way and exit the other.

They can be extended lane wise until game limits by extending the middle cross further away from the station.

I like the look of your curved ro-ro... does it have any better through-put than the strait ro-ro? (even a minute difference is a difference)

I always put down a 2-3 station blocks at 5 to 7 lengths each (sort of like a curved ro-ro but more compact and doubles back on itself). and then run some rails out the back and around to the side of one of the station blocks, and run a double or triple line with the outgoing line containing the double line if and when needed.

Incoming trains go along a single rail connected to the blocks with a depot close by. I tend to stay away from the last two designs because they bottle neck easily and you want you trains coming and going as fast as possible.
