Panzer I Ausf B

Açıklama
The vehicle is built to a 2:1 scale and the specifications such as speed and gun calibers are also 2:1 as best as possible. The tank is made to look and behave as historically accurate as possible.

The Panzer I Ausf A had a number of defects such as engine over heating and poor ride quality due to the inadequate suspension. The Ausf B solved these issues by replacing the old air cooled Krupp four cylinder engine with a water cooled six cylinder engine from Maybach. The new engine requried the tank to be extended by 40 cm and increased the weight by 0.4 tons. The increased length allowed an additional bogie which greatly improved the riding quality. Nonetheless, the tank was still underarmed and underarmored. Most subsequent variants will be based on the Ausf B chassis and not the Ausf A chassis such as the Panzerjager i and Sturmpanzer I.

I shifted the wheels inside the hull. If you look under the tank, its between the fake tracks

I used a lot of mimics and decorations. There's no secret other than time and patience in placing each mesh correctly. I use a bunch of photographs as reference. I also research the differences between various versions of the tank. It can honestly be a bit better if I spend more time but at some point there's diminishing returns for the amount of effort for each detail improvement.
