The Ratel is a South African infantry fighting vehicle.
It was the first wheeled infantry fighting vehicle to enter service worldwide and was built on a modified MAN truck chassis.
The Ratel was designed in response to a South African Army specification for a light armoured vehicle suited to the demands
of rapid offensives combining maximum firepower and strategic mobility.

The Ratel 90 is a rank IV South African light tank with a battle rating of 6.7. It was introduced in Update "Ixwa Strike".

The Ratel 90 is an IFV designed to provide fire support for the Mechanized South African Battalions in combat. It was modified to do this duty with the identical turret found on the Eland 90 Mk.7.


The Ratel 20 is a rank V South African light tank with a battle rating of 7.3. It was introduced in Update "Ixwa Strike".

The Ratel 20 is an IFV designed as the main troop carrier for the Mechanized South African Battalions. It is armed with an unstablized 20mm gun and a Milan I Missile.


The Ratel ZT3A2 is a rank VI South African Tank Destroyer with a battle rating of 8.7. It was introduced in Update "Ixwa Strike".

The Ratel ZT3-A2 represents the ATGM carrier modification of the Ratel family of wheeled fighting vehicles and represents the last major variant of the popular ICV series.
