This is the unofficial successor of the defunct Cinema addon, the focus here is to keep the Gamemode updated as possible and enrich it with new features.

Key Information

Compatibility: Ensure you are using the Chromium, x86-64 version of Garry's Mod.
Uninstall: Please uninstall the original addon by Sunabouzu, as it is not compatible with this version.
Credits: All rights go to the original addon creator and contributors over the years.

Important Notes

Long-term support for YouTube may be challenging due to ongoing technical changes by YouTube, which can lead to issues.
If you see a white page after a YouTube ad or a Fullscreen ad, simply reload the player. we cannot solve this problem from our side.
Local videos on the computer cannot be played, consider uploading it somewhere.

Fixes and Updates

GMod Developers' Fixes: The GMod developers are actively working on fixes. This cannot be resolved solely by the mod author.
Branch Requirement: This addon no longer works on the default version of Garry's Mod. You need to switch to the x86-64 branch. Note that this branch is under active development and may cause your game to crash. Follow the guide on the Facepunch Wiki[wiki.facepunch.com] to switch to the 'dev' branch, but select x86-64 instead.
YouTube Support: YouTube has stopped supporting old video encodings used by GMod. The GMod devs are updating the game to use Chromium/CEF. You can track progress in the #next-update channel of the GMod Discord.

Additional Requirements

CEFCodecFix: You will need to install the CEFCodecFix. Choose the right guide for your operating system:

@Astroboi3001 - To get YouTube or Cinema running you need the x64 bit beta version of Garry's Mod. The game itself runs on a very outdated browser called 'Awesomium' and with the beta version it will be switched to CEF, you can think of it like Google Chrome but for games. You just need to follow the short video guide in the workshop description (“Additional Requirements”).

@The Regulator: You can only change the game mode when you are in the main menu, i.e. disconnect from the singleplayer/p2p instance. Also, this is not the media player addon.
