Shadow Editor

It can change the direction, color, cast distance and it can disable/enable dynamic shadows for the whole map.

If a map has no dynamic shadows by default, a shadow_control entity will be added to the map to enable shadows.


Additionally as a bonus, if you enable "UseSunDirection" it can cast shadows using the dynamic sun (env_sun) direction if there is one in the map. (though you can always just weld the shadow and sun editor together too if you wish!)




To access the settings for shadow color and cast distance you need to hold down the "C" key, right click the editor object, and click "Properties".




NOTE: This tool only controls the dynamic world shadows, shadows from lamps and lights are a different thing.
