There is just one bug that I encountered while playing Family Mysteries 3: Criminal Mindset, that while not game breaking, it does make earning one of the achievements very, very difficult.

The "Unmistakable" achievement states that you must "Complete a Hidden Object Puzzle without a mistake" to earn the achievement. In truth, to unlock this achievement you must complete a hidden object scene in less than 60 seconds, without making any mistakes.

Completing a hidden object scene without mistakes is a challenge in this game due to morphing objects and items hidden within or behind other items, doing a scene without mistakes and in less than 60 seconds without a guide makes for the hardest achievement I have ever seen in a hidden object game.

The Dev has known about this bug since Aug 2020 and as of Feb 2021, this bug sadly has not been fixed and thus likely never will.

Family Mysteries 3: Criminal Mindset has a total of 24 Steam achievements, of these 9 are story related and the remaining 15 achievements are missable, as for completion time, this is in the region of 3-4 hours.

MAIN GAME.

• There are no achievements relating to difficulty in Family Mysteries 3: Criminal Mindset so select whichever suits your mood.

• While there is a tutorial, there are no achievements relating to playing with or without the tutorial.

• There is an achievement relating to the cut scenes. "Riveting Master" requires you to not skip any cut scenes in the first hour of your game, in other words do not skip any until the achievement pops. I would also advise not exiting the game after you start it until this achievement pops.

• Do not skip any of the mini-game puzzles in the main game. There is an achievement for completing 5 puzzles in a row without skipping and another for completing all story mini-game puzzles in the main game without skipping, and another for completing all the mini-game puzzles in the main game without skipping. There is also an additional achievement earned for completing one mini-game puzzle in less than 60 seconds.

• As for hidden object scenes, do not use hints in any of them during the main game. There is an achievement for completing 1 scene without any hints, another achievement for completing 3 scenes without using any hints and another for completing all the hidden object scenes in the main game without using any hints.
  
  There is also an additional achievement earned for completing one scene in less than 60 seconds, another for finding 3 objects in 3 seconds within a scene and a final achievement for completing 3 consecutive scenes in a total time of less than 10 minutes.
  
  There is also an achievement for completing a scene in less than 60 seconds and a final achievement for completing a scene without mistakes, that is bugged and actually requires you to complete a scene in less than 60 seconds without mistakes.

• Collectables, there are 29 collectables within Family Mysteries 3: Criminal Mindset that take the form of 14 Figurines and 15 morphing Puzzle Pieces. There is an achievement for finding your first Figurine, another for finding your first Morphing Puzzle Peice, another for finding all 15 Morphing Puzzle Pieces and a final achievement for finding all 29 collectables.

BONUS CHAPTER.
There are no specific achievements relating to the bonus chapter and nor are there any collectables. Sadly, I am unable to confirm if any of the achievements can be unlocked within the bonus chapter as I had unlocked 100% achievements during the main game.

Note that Chemist, Survivalist, Prison Breaker, Sherlock Holmes, Bomb Specialist, Picross Master, Good Friend, Lockpick Master, Informer achievements are all story related achievements earned as part of your natural progression.

This achievement is nothing short of a major PITA due to a bug.

The "Unmistakable" achievement should unlock if you complete a hidden object scene without a misclick/mistake. Sadly however as of the time of writing, it requires you to complete a hidden object scene in less than 60 seconds without making a mistake, which is very, very difficult due to morphing items and items being hidden within or behind other items.

The Dev has been aware of this since Aug 2020, but sadly as of Feb 2021, it has not been fixed.

At the time of writing 17.1% of people have apparently unlocked this achievement and I'm calling BS on that, do not let that number lull you into thinking that the achievement isn't that hard, because it is and the fact is, I'd wager a large portion of those that unlocked this achievement used SAM.

Your chances of unlocking this achievement without the use of a guide, is, at best, slim.

My video walkthrough has time markers for all hidden object scenes and I have done my best to remove mistakes and thinking time, if you have a second monitor or tablet, using the video walkthrough is a viable option for unlocking the achievement.

To further assist you to earn this achievement, just below I have added screen caps of three scenes which I considered the easiest scenes to try and obtain this achievement on.

Click on the four red lights (circles) near the top middle of the screen. A sequence will then play out, when the sequence is over repeat the sequence by clicking on the lights in order... 3 1 4 2.

Once you enter the sequence correctly, half a yellow sign is revealed, click on the revealed half of the sign below the lights and then apply it to the other half, to the right to join them.

In the bottom right corner of the screen are two sets of four buttons, four green and four grey. The grey buttons are the target symbol and the green buttons must be clicked until the symbol on the green button matches the symbol on the adjacent grey button.

With the buttons labelled 1 to 4 from bottom to top, these are the number of clicks required...
Button 1 (bottom) = 2 clicks.
Button 2 = 1 click.
Button 3 = 2 clicks.
Button 4 (top) = 1 click.

Use the key on the lock to start the scene...


Watch out for the two morphing objects, it can be very easy to earn a misclick/mistake if clicking the item just as it morphs. There are also two items covered by other objects that you have to first click to move out of the way to reveal the item you want.

Use the bulb on the lamp in the top left, this turns the light on and reveals a tile just below the lamp.

Click on the jar lid to lift up the lid, then click on the pincers to pick them up (look like scissor handles), then use the pincers on the tile in the jar to obtain it.
