Assertive Loot

Açıklama
This here is a set of improved thrusters for use as loot in Splitsie's Assertive Combat Systems mod.
Now with thrusters you can pickup and store in your inventory.

Variants have been made of all Vanilla and DLC thrusters that produce 115% peak thrust, at 90% peak power/fuel consumption.
You can not build these yourself and the component you would need to place them (if you could) grinds to scrap and cannot be assembled, so they must be carefully removed from a ship which carries them.
You can only build these yourself when you find them as loot. However grinding them down only returns scrap. So that leaves two options: finding them in ship cargo, or as part of the ships themselves.

Have fun.

Current bugs/things that need changing:
Clicking the N/A for any of the Loot block variants in the G Menu will cause a game crash. I think I know how to fix it, just need to get out of my cockpit and fix it.
Notification for unlocking loot blocks starts from pickup, so if you loot something from an inventory the notification might have gone by the time you leave the inventory. I know how to fix this, just need to do it.
You get two notifications for a block unlock depending on the component looted. I know what causes this and need to implement a fix.
Any loot blocks you have in your toolbar will be cleared on login/reconnect. I know why this happens and need to figure out a solution.
It looks like it treats bots as players. Needs investigation, might not be a problem at all other than log spam.
Loot blocks place at full completion/health. Fix would be changing it to full parts but unwelded? This was decided to be intended behaviour.
Some thrusters (or all?) dont fit in a 1x inventory scale engineers backpack :( Adjusted size of components.

Does this mod still work nicely? It seems to follow a similar concept as the Contact update.

Would be nice for the two to be somewhat merged.

Are all of the Assertive Mods going to work with the new contact update?

Thank you for the information! I'll keep this in mind and look into it, that's super useful :p2cube:

I am likely going to change the color to either a light silver-ish blue or a purple, haven't decided which yet lol. Maybe both, who knows!
Thought it would be a neat dynamic to have the colors of ion and hydrogen essentially "swapped", a red/orange for ion and a blue for hydrogen.

@Stardust
I am okay in general, though using a copy of the CubeBlocks.sbc with the changes is.. suboptimal these days. AshLikeSnow made a mod called ModAdjuster that can be used to adjust SBC parameters without needing to upload the entire definition again.
You can find the thrusters (as used) in Data\CubeBlocks.sbc, and the dummies used for the wacky scripting in Data\Dummies\CubeBlocks.sbc though you shouldn't see the thrust flame from those.

I can totally see why the colours might not be to everyone's taste, I was going for a bit of a copper flame when I chose the green. Though tbh it was mostly just what i thought looked cool at the time ... why else would the ions be orange?

Is it alright if I release a mod that does the bare minimum (containing the block definitions in CubeBlocks.sbc) to change the color of some thrusters? I'm not a big fan of the green hydrogen. The mod would of course link back here and to ACS and require Assertive Loot because it contains none of the actual functionality.
Either way, thank you for your work! :p2cube:

I wanted to make a server that would promote salvaging and investigating ships and structers, my first plan was to make the vanilla blocks more powerful (while making them unplacable and unweldable) then making a new block that mirrors the original vanilla stats. After thinking that it would destroy blueprints i remembered this mod.

Would it be possible to add blocks to the loot table and change there odds either in a config or in the mod files themselves (using modadjusterv2 for example) or would it need to be retooled entierly. I wanted to add things like assemblers, refineries, o2h2 gens, reactors, grav gens, etc. Thrusters also but i would be changing the stats on those also ( and look for a tool to help with the thruster color changes)

How do we pickup thrusters?

That is ashame it would be amazing for consoles to be able to use the mod but I get it can't be easy thank you tho

Assertive Loot as it currently is will not work on mod.io unfortunately. It uses client side scripts for some of its functionality. I have some avenues I have been meaning to look in to to see if I can move the important client side scripts to the server, but it's been a bit on the backburner as Splitsie hasn't said anything about putting ACS on mod.io.

is there any way this could be put onto mod.io so the assertive mod on there will work please
