WARNING: This guide will NOT help you to get better at the game, but it will trivialize the Fector's challenge achievement using a method called Save Scumming.


All you need to know is that you need to beat a level without dying (if you do, quit to menu and load), then after beating the level and having transitioned to the next area, press ESC to leave the machine, do whatever you want for the rest of the day and then sleep in your bed to save your progress. The next day you will do the same thing, as your progress is saved from the level you cleared the day before.


If you find this difficult to understand, follow these 3 steps:

Step 1: [OPTIONAL] Beat Journey Of The Prairie King at least one time just to unlock the arcade machine and then put it in your house. It doesn’t matter if you die or not, the point is just to get the machine. (Doing this will save you 6 minutes per try, since you don't have to wait until 12:00 PM to go to saloon).


Step 2: Beat 1 level (or more if you are willing to risk) without dying, and then after going to the next area, press ESC to leave the machine, play the rest of the day and then save by sleeping on your bed.

• If you die, quit to menu’s title and load your save file.

Step 3: Repeat the step above until you finish the game! By slowly progressing, you basically have a checkpoint each level and it should be easy to get the achievement.

If you die on a boss fight, you don’t actually need to quit and load. Just press ESC and Continue the game and it will restart boss fight, not counting your death. Only works during boss fights.
