Moving Through Rooms
-Check both the left and right sides behind a doorway as much as possible before actually entering a room. ( Peek the left and right sides of the doorway )

-When entering a room, take one step in and hold backwards so that you don't get killed during the loading lag.

-Take a few seconds to look around for blue lights before crossing any open areas.
-Always stay next to cover. If you hear a beep, step back.

-Never sprint in a room unless you are guaranteed sure there are no threats
-This rule doesn't apply if you're being shot at.
Heights and Stairs
-I suggest avoiding stairs as much as possible, since it limits your area of movement as well as increases your blind spots.
-Always walk up stairs backwards to make sure you aren't blindsided
-If you here a beep, sprint back in the direction you came from and fight on open ground.

-Don't jump any gaps unless you absolutely have to get what's on the other side.
-When you cross gaps, double tap forward and immediately press jump after. This will still give you the full length as if you were sprinting a distance and then jumping.
-Be careful when peeking over edges with W. Even a delayed double tap with about a second in between each press will make your character take a few steps forward, often sending you to your 5 foot fall of doom.
Combat
-Always be aware of what might be above you, or below you.

-Don't be afraid to take 3-5 shots when a tazer drone is flying at you. Saving extra bullets won't save your life.
-When a tazer drone returns to passive mode, it will drop it's altitude. Always be careful if it begins to camp the corners of the doorway.
-At long distances, the bullet fired with slightly drop, creating an arc. Therefore, aim a bit above your target, and wait 3-5 seconds before taking another shot to be sure of whether or not it was a hit or miss.

-When killing a turret, aim for the sensor ( Red box near barrel of the turret's gun ). This will usually either kill the turret, or blind it, rendering the turret useless in one shot.
-Use the turret's blue light as a guideline to know when to pop out and shoot.
-Many times, you will never have to fully expose yourself to take a killing shot.

-When being shot at or chased, running in a zig zag line will greatly increase your chances of survival.

-Sometimes it's better to skip an enemy to save ammo, or take a different direction if you feel the room is too dangerous.

-Get into the habit of keeping one magazine full at all times, while having another for back up.
-Personally, I prefer to only have one magazine, since you will always be loading in your spare bullets, and you create a better muscle memory if you do happen to run out of shots.
Scavenging / Rooms to Remember
-Hold your item pickup button ( G ) when walking around the bright crystals, in bathrooms, and in dark areas to ensure you pick up everything. Sometimes items may be hidden out of sight or placed on top of objects.
-You have no reason to keep two flashlights on you.
-To prevent yourself from picking up a second flashlight, make sure you are holding your first one in your hands before grabbing all of the items.
-In the case that you get a second flashlight, drop it in slots 7-9 to keep it out of the way.

-Open sky areas tend to have a lot of tazer drones, ranging about 2-6 drones each area. This includes the bridges, stairwells, and rooftops. Try to use your doorway as a funnel and shoot them as they cross through, or avoid the areas entirely.

-Tanker rooms have 3 or 4 large yellow containers and a second floor with a narrow staircase.
-Will often have many turrets.
-Between the tanks are small cracks, which turrets will be able to shoot you through, so always peek through them at a distance and be ready to take cover.
-Tanker areas will often have 1-4 turrets on the second floor, and tends to have very little spare bullets.
-Always jump to peek over the top of the stairs to make sure it's clear, or has anything worth grabbing.

-Red Square Rooms have an open middle area with four posts in each corner, open second story creates a catwalk around the border of the room.
-Will often have turrets in each of the four corners, and sometimes drones.
-Always be aware of the turrets that may be above or below you, and try to stick to the walls, or behind a post for cover.

-Blue Pipe Rooms have two dark hallways with a single large pipe down the center.
-These are usually threat free, and sometimes has spare bullets.
-The middle pipe Can be jumped over with a sprinting jump, and is not actually a dead end.

-Double Apartment Rooms are dark green areas that have a first floor apartment with no furniture and linking doorways. The second floor apartment is furnished, but has blocked doorways with no way to cross between rooms.
-Always be sure to check both floors of the apartments. The second floor tends to have bullets.

music fades in when you're near a robot, so only run into a place if you guarantee you can't hear any music

Fun fact, if you press esc there's useful options. For example, there's an option to show where your bullet(s) went and an option to have your gun always locked to the center of your screen (when aiming).

Fun Fact: Turrets run out of ammo after a while. If you feel brave enough, bait the turrets into shooting dry.

The sensor is a good taget to aim for on turret, but aiming for the wider end of the base is far more effective, as it will knock it out completly, and it's a stationary target, increasing your chances of hitting it.
