To actually spam pootis, you'll need to bind some keys first.

You will need to have the console enabled. To do this, simply go into the Options menu's keyboard section, hit "Advanced," and then check "Enable Developer Console." Alternatively, you can right-click Team Fortress 2 in your Steam library, click "properties," hit "set launch options," type
"-console" in the text box, and click "OK." To access the console, hit the "~" key.

Here's the bind you will be using to actually say pootis. Type this into the console, substituting [key] for your preferred spam key (I use F):

bind [key] "voicemenu 1 4"

Though I can't guarantee the following combination will work anymore, it's extremely convenient if it does:

If I wanted to bind it to the F key (which also has the inspect command by default), I would type this:

bind f "voicemenu 1 4; inspect"

This way, I can inspect players and pootis (and it's a convenient key to use).

Note: To use other voice commands, you would type them in as they would be used in-game.

Example:

bind [key] "voicemenu 0 3"
This above bind will make you use the "Move up!" command (or GOTTAM). Remember, zero is used for the first voice command in the menu (so "MEDIC!" would be 0 0, "Spy!" would be 1 1, etc).

Now that we have a key bound to say POOTIS, we will need to be able to bypass the spamblocker that regulates how many times one can say a voice command. To do just that, go back into Options, under the "Keyboard" section, and scroll down until you find the quick loadout binds (they are blank by default). There should be four of them.
Now, you'll need to bind a key to at least one of the quick loadouts (the loadout doesn't need to be different from the current one in-game, so you can mash one button rather than four). The options for these are called Load item preset A/B/C/D. I'd suggest binding it to a key that's far from the keys you would commonly use (such as the "POOTIS" key and WASD). I use the ] key (even though it's right next to my key for the "explode" command).

Also make sure to enable the advanced option "Automatically respawn after loadout changes in respawn zones." Without this option enabled, this spam technique is effectively worthless. It should be on by default.

Now that you've gotten both keys situated, it's time to spam! Of course, you could have always just used the "MEDIC!" key to spam rather than "POOTIS" (but where's the fun in that?).

Note: In case you didn't have a key for this, you might want a key to get free hats. To do this, type the following into console, with the "[key]" being replaced by a key of your choosing:

bind [key] explode

This way, you will always get a hat from the item drop system.



NOTE: This spam technique only works in spawn!

Now, to spam, join a server and mash both of the keys you have bound, alternating between "pootis spencer heer" and your preset key. If you did it right, it should look something like this:




Unfortunately, the chat bar is small, so you can't just fill the screen.
