About Romano Florist

Asset is inspired by Romano Florist in the North End of Boston. Romano has been open on Hanover Street since 1960. The Flower shop looks great in game with oversized signage, green trim and the flowers in the storefront windows...

About the Building
The real-life Romano is in the ground floor narrow 5-story building. It isn't practical for every shop I create for my Little Italy project to have a custom modeled building so I took the retail storefront and applied to one of the generic 3-story building templates I will use in the collection. While I will reuse buildings, especially the mid-block ones, in the end when the project is complete there will be a large variety of over 15 different building models for 40+ commercial assets.

Background on Little Italy collection

This Florist is one of the first wave from my Little Italy collection I plan to publish in the coming months where I take independent Italian American businesses with appealing vintage signage that have endured for decades in places like NYC, Philly, Detroit, St Louis, SF, etc.. Expect to see Pasta shops, Cheese Shops, Cafes, Cannoli stores, and much more.

Signage is part of the model mesh. With the windows having flowers arrangements visible I didn't see a compelling reason to separate the signage as a prop for this asset.

I lived in the North End for 12 years. This asset (this collection of assets) is amazing! Thank you!
