How To Activate Hibernation Mode

Play The Stanley Parable for the entire duration of a Tuesday.
This works on every day of the week!
At every hour and only takes around 5-10 minutes!
  • Change your system time to a Monday evening around 23:57 / 11:57 pm
  • Start The Stanley Parable and play
  • Wait for Midnight, you can tab out or play in window mode
  • Put your PC in Hibernation mode not Sleep / Energy-saving mode
  • Wait for your PC to turn of
  • Disconnect the power
  • Press the power button
  • Reconnect the power
  • Press the power button
  • Enter BIOS (the key will be displayed, often it's one of the F# keys)
  • Change time to 23:55 / 11:55 pm, it should be Tuesday
  • Save and exit
  • After startup every program should still be open
  • Continue playing The Stanley Parable
  • Wait for Midnight, you should get the achievement
How To Activate Hibernation Mode
On some devices Hibernation Mode is turned off, if you don't see it above the shut-down button you'll need to activate it first!
    • Open the control panel and go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options
    • Click on Choose what the power buttons do on the far left side
    • Click on change settings that are currently unavailable
    • Tick Hibernate and save changes
    • If you don't see Hibernate in the list try step 2
    • Open start and search for CMD
    • Right-click command prompt to run as Administrator
    • Type in powercfg -H on and hit enter
    • Close the command prompt and control panel (if still open)
    • Restart step 1
