Paradise (As of now) is currently the level with the most secret items hidden within it, you will find two of our items we need to find here.




The Icaros Machine is a leg augmentation that grants the player an incredibly high jump bonus. This item is particularly useful for getting to places that're typically hard to reach much faster and efficiently, which makes it ideal for speedrunning in certain levels.

However this item does not exclude falling damage, the downside to this item is that you may need to be careful as to not sustain too much damage whilst using it.



To obtain this secret, we will require to perform some advanced demolition techniques. Make sure you have the Rocket Launcher and Tactical Blast Shield item equipped.



Once you start the level, head towards the right path where you will see a unique looking tower with spikes extruding from its sides.

To perform a rocket jump, you will need to aim downwards and jump at the same time you shoot - this will give you a massive boost in the air which is what we need to reach this item.



We need to get inside the opening in the top bit, you will need to perform two rocket jumps to reach here. One at the bottom to reach the platform below the entrance, and another on the platform towards the entrance.



As you enter the room, the item should be on the table here.




The Cursed Torch is a mysterious augmentation that attaches itself to the player's arm. The item emits a pulsing red light around the player which acts as a light source the player can use without needing the flashlight - this means you won't have need to take up a weapon space to see in dark areas.

The item also has some numerous strange side effects as well:

• The item will halve the player's health count to 50 on spawn, however this item does not restrict the amount maximum of health the player has as they can still use health items to replenish their life back to 100.
  
  
• To make up for halving the player's health on spawn, killing enemies can replenish your health by one point each - This makes for a very handy item when coupled with the regenerative abilities that enable you to eat corpses afterwards for another point of health as well.
  
  
• Using the Cursed Torch also guarantees the chance of rare enemies to spawn throughout the levels.

Due to an update, the cursed torch grants the player Hope Eradicated instead

To obtain this item, we will need to enter the catacombs located from under the level. You will also need a flashlight to see as this area is pitch black.



To the left of the spawn, enter the green house and find the basement at the back of it.

(There is also an alternative entrance to the basement over the fence around the side of the house).



You should be able to find the basement entrance, which looks like this.



In the basement, you'll find a door that looks exactly like this. To gain pass through it, you'll need a Divine Link established to your character - you can tell whether you have this active from the white and red border around your screen.

If you do not have a Divine Link, you can get it by beating any incomplete level on Punishment mode or by using the Divine Link Room around the starting area in the level Archon Grid.



As soon as you go through this door, walk through the hallway and head left once you reach the end of it.



Head to the far end of this hallway as well and take another left, you should see two enemies here.



On the wall to your right is a secret passage, you will be able to find this from the indents on the wall in the shape of a doorway - you must walk through this.



Inside you will find a giant hole, head inside here but beware as the water below is toxic.



As you fall in, land on the beams safely.



At the bottom, you should find this doorway. Head through here.



At the end of this room is a table, this is where our Cursed Torch will be. Pick up the item from the table to obtain it.

You will need Hope Eradicated enabled to gain access to this item.

As soon as you enter the police station, head to this doorway on the left to enter the staircase room.



Once you're here just simply head on up.



Continue straight down the hallway and ignore the entryway to the left.



The hallway should lead you directly to this dead end, there is a secret passage you can open on the wall located here.



Once opened up, just follow along the wall to your left until you meet the end of the spiral room.



There should be a ladder, climb up here.



Once you've reached up here, you'll need Hope Eradicated enabled to open this special type of doorway.



Inside will be an enemy, liquidate them.



In the corner of the room should then be a table with the item on it.

Within Mall Madness, you will find one of the secret items here.




This is a simple body augmentation that grants the player 15% armor, it is considerably light and thus doesn't reduce the player's speed compared to most of the purchasable armors.

This is useful during the early on in the game, however it is quickly made redundant later once you unlock most of the late-game armors and items.

This item is fairly easy to obtain, and requires no specific equipment to reach it.



After you exit the bathroom at the start of the level and enter one of the main parts of the mall, you will need to move along the top here towards the big opening ahead.



Once here, head on down to the escalators on the right as to not alert any of the giant police mechs.



Go through the passage located behind these escalators too, and follow the wall along to your left.



You should then be here without alerting any of the guards.



Head inside the game store and go upstairs from in there.



You will need to find a store on the second floor here labelled Plant Heaven, this is where our secret item is located.



Within the store are some plant enemies below, you are going to have to dispatch of them.



Located in the far left corner here should be the item we are looking for.

The one of the secret items are located here, in Bog Business.




The Hazmat Suit is a body augmentation that grants the player complete immunity to toxins, this includes environmental hazards as well as even shielding the player from toxic enemies like Fleshrats.

This item is possible to obtain without the use of any specific equipment, however speed techniques such as bunny hopping are recommended to get through the bog as quickly as possible since you will be taking plenty of damage from toxins here.



As soon as you start off in the level, we are facing towards the direction we need to go. You are going to need to head onto the platform with the enemy and tree on it.



keep heading straight forward from here, you will have to step inside the toxic water so you will have to start bunny hopping here.

There's also a small platform to your left with some blue and yellow berries, eat these to replenish health and cure your toxins.



The next platform you see from here will have two enemies behind the tree, dispatch of both of these and keep heading forward towards another platform that you will find to your left.

There will also be some berry bushes here.



Once on this platform, look behind and you will see a small crevice against the edge of the map right next to left of the platform we were previously on with the two enemies.



You will have to go through here.



Be careful as you enter here; as in front of you will be plenty of dogs, a plant and a sniper.



At the end of here will be another small platform with a table, this is where our Hazmat Suit will be

This item is located in the room above the target, you should be able to get to this room in a multitude of ways.



Once you're in, there should be an invisible path between the doorways above.



In the center end of the room up here should be a doorway, there is an invisible path to walk on as well.



Once you enter this room, the item should be on the floor to collect right here.






This item changes the weather to something more foggy/rainy, presumably this helps with fishing.



Once you start, stick along the left mountain and keep moving.



You will eventually find an opening to a cave, go inside here.



As you enter, the item should be located around to your left.

Once you spawn, head directly inside the building.



Look for an elevator to the second floor which should look like this, enter it.



Once you've reached the second floor, step out and activate the elevator whilst you're not on it. You will then need to grab a nearby trashcan and then jump down the elevator shaft.



Once you're on top of the elevator, activate it and wait until it stops. You can then use the trashcan to help get yourself up onto the roof of the building.



You will easily be able to find a table with the item on it.

The Abominator is a useful arm augment that inverts the player's gravity, there is also no cooldown so you can practically fly with it too.

To get this, you'll need DEATHand Hope Eradicated.



As soon as you start in the HQ, there will be a new target towards you left. Head this way.



There will be a special door that you'll need to use your Hope Eradicated to open.



Next up will be a force-field that'll damage you unless you have DEATH. There is another guide that explains on how to get this:

Once passed through, keep heading straightforward towards the door in front of here.



You'll come across this hallway, keep heading forward.



Once you reach this room, you'll be able to find the item located in the far left corner of the room near the Necromech wielding a riot pacifier.



Here is the Abominator.

This allows the player to climb onto any wall with ease, albeit quite slowly.

As soon as you start, get in the car from the garage and start driving towards the giant worms.



Keep onto the path to your right.



Keep heading down and take the road beside the Carpenter's house.



Drive straight to the centre of the town from here, though beware many of the residents are packing heavy weapons.



Once you reach the centre of the town, head towards the fountain.



Our item will be on a small podium in front of the fountain.






This item grants you the golem exeskeleton as worn by several special enemies seen throughout the game, you are given instant killing punches and a 40% damage resistance as well as 200 max health - the only downside is that you won't be able to use any of your weapons.

To get this item, you have to kill the giant worms near the house at the start of the level. The best and most efficient weapon to do this with would be with the ZKZ Transactional Rifle used to get the LIFE ending

Darkworld is one of the unlockable secret levels in the game, as the name suggests you'll need to bring a light.




Grants the player the ability to see in the dark, particularly useful in levels with dark areas or if you just want a black and white filter I guess.

The item is located within the blue mansion in the distance, for the quickest path keep following along the road until you meet the end of it.



The quickest route down is in between these electrical pole wires, jump down here and land on the wooden platform below - beware you may take some fall damage however.



Once you're at the mansion, take the first floor door to the left of the entrance.



Once in, take the door on the left.



Once in, take the door on the left, again.



This will lead you into a room where you'll be able to find the Night Vision Goggles on a single table.

The penultimate level of Cruelty Squad, Gorbino's Quest becomes reality.




This item grants the player a harsh pixelated filter, but is mainly used to access a secret room in the attic of the Cruelty Squad HQ. This room contains both a Divine Light orb and a Hope Eradicated orb, making it one of the easier ways to access either modes.

Take the normal path in the level until you reach the first Gorbino room (Gorbino is supposedly the giant spherical monster). As soon as you enter the room there will be a small platform you can break through on the right of the room.



Once inside, follow along the left wall.



You should then find a hallway beyond this corner located here.



At the end of the hallway is another breakable platform, break this.



At the end of the room is two sliding blocks, push the dark one in front forwards 3 spaces.



Once it is in, try and push the blue block onto the blue platform in the far right of the level. This will unlock the platform and allow you to gain access to a secret area.



Once in, push the first block on your left forwards and head through the hall on the left.



The hall should lead to this corner with a hole, jump through here.



In front should be a hallway, go through here and enter the first door on your left



You should now be at a secret obstacle course, head fowards and keep an eye out for enemies.



After the first two enemies are dealt with, head through this part as fast as you to avoid being caught up by two other melee enemies that will emerge from the left and right wall.



There's also one sniper to your left and another to your right hiding behind walls, be wary that there is another one down below too.



Once all that is dealt with, head straight to the door in front of you at the end of the course.



Inside this secret room on the table should be the Holy Scope alongside a Hope Eradicated orb.

Like the Gunkboosters, but it allows you to jump twice at no seeming disadvantage.



This is very easy to locate, as it is found right on top of the statue inside the only building in the direct centre of the level.



You can find it right on top of the head here.

Allows the player to fly upwards infinitely at no seeming disadvantage.



Once you reach the end of the hallway, head left into the library.



Using your walljump with DEATH, you can manage to make it into this doorway on the wall - you will then proceed through a platforming section.



Once you reach the end of the platforming section, you will enter the outside. Be quick as there is a sniper with an ZKZ to your right.



Once you get closer, a tower will emerge from the darkness. This is where the sniper is located and you can take them down easily. You will next then need to walljump through the section onto your left and enter a green building.



There will be a straight path that leads you towards here, there are a couple of enemies standing on the roof so be sure to take them out and head through the bridge.



The bridge will take you through to this room here with a massive hole in the middle, don't jump down here and instead go to the end of the room.



There will be an entrance here to the next room.



This room leads to a drop with a toxic barrel in the middle, jump and swim down through here.



Once you reach the bottom, the Biojet should be here on the first beam.

To find this, it is recommended you take the hazmat suit.

Head into the meat section of the level and find this room with the checker walls, there are a multitude of ways to get here.



In the room you will spot a hole with a ladder leading into toxic water, head inside here.



Once down, you will immediately find the item nearby.
