Probably most of CS:GO players have a low-end PC setup which is very awful to play on and the most of the low-end PC gamers want to "Boost their FPS" what is not real.

1st Myth:
-novid does not improve your FPS it's just skips the CS:GO logo (Intro) when the game starts, it has no affect on the in game performance, it's just making the game to launch a little bit quicker


2nd Myth:
-freq -refresh does not make your game smoother, because you are already probably playing on 60/75/144/244/320 Hz monitor which is useless, however the maximum refresh rate already set to your monitor from the manufacturer, so it does not need to be changed only if you want to decrease your refresh rate in game which is useless.


3rd Myth:
-nod3d9ex has almost no affect to the gameplay and you do not need to write it to the launch options because it's already enabled when you playing the game.


4th Myth:
-heapsize You should not use this launch option! This command was removed in CS:S, TF2 and DoD:S in 2010, I’m not 100% sure if it is exists in CS:GO. Here’s what Valve said in 2010: “This command made sense in Half-Life 1’s memory manager. The current engine manages memory in a way that doesn’t need it specified. Under some circumstances, specifying a non-optimal heapsize causes crashes and/or reduced performance”


5th Myth (Unconfirmed):
+cl_interp_ratio simply adjusts your cl_interp automatically. So the idea was that the player would set cl_interp to 0 and interp_ratio 1 or 2, then taking updaterate or 128 Vs 64 tick server to adjust cl_interp.
So if you run 128tick, cl_interp 0 and ratio 1 you will get the smallest interp (0.07 or something likethat), and interp to 1 and ratio to 2 you will get the highset (0.031). these settings may impact to hitboxes more or less. Medium interp you will get with 0 and 0 or 1 and 1 = 0.14

You are probably thinking now:
-What can I do to get a Rank Up?
Answer is very easy my friend: use OP weapons (Tec-9, Five-SeveN, P250, R8), 'cause Valve does not think about game balance.

Tip #1
Stop buying Kevlar and Deagle on pistol round.
If you playing on higher ranks then Silver Elite Master forget about buying Kevlar, because most of the players will one tap you in the head with USP-S or P250.
So you will waste 650$ or 700$ and have to do an eco on the next round with your team.

Tip#2
How to Easy win a Eco round T and CT sides.
At first replace in your inventory a CZ-75 to Tec-9/Five-SeveN.
Then when you start playing and have an eco round, force buy with your team Kevlar+Helmet and buy Tec-9 and just push together to the Bombsite/Hostage
Remember buying a Tec-9 or Five-SeveN leads to the victory for you!

Tip#3
Stop quickswitching when shooting from sniper rifles. really.
It gives you no tactical advantage whatsoever

Tip#4
Never drop a teammate a gun which he can't play with.
Just imagine the situation you won a clutch round with an R8 for example, you won this round and at the start of the next round teammate asks you to drop it. Do Not Drop IT.
This will lead you to instant lose round or match.
Trust me I saw all of this in over of 3000+ games on Wingman on Nuke

Tip#5
When you feeling that you will have a Rank Up keep playing on the previous map you were winning on.
If you was a very good on previous map for example Vertigo, Mirage, Cache, keep playing on the previous maps, because it makes a lot of difference when you close to rank up, Your opponent can be an Old and Pro Gamer who can easily destroy you by picking Office instead of Mirage when you have a Rank Up soon, so overall you don't need to pick another maps when you close to your Rank Up.
