So, how to get the most usefull in my opinion pet in moonlighter. The mimic pet - the pet who can expand your inventory by the size of the common chest. The other good way about it - it is kinda broken, it can ignore almost any curses on items (only sides, destroy other items in direction etc.) Also, even after you died, the items inside it wont dissapear. So use it to hold the most valuable loot trough your run.

So, how to get it? Wiki says you either need to kill 5 wooden, 5 iron, 5 gold mimics. Or kill 30 of it. To be honest i dont know which is true, but i think second option (kill 30).

The mimics are somehow rare to meet so, thats what you need to do.

Go to any dungeon (the most cheap way will be golem dungeon) and explore it until you find a room with a mimic.

Little tip - if you are using the map potion, mimic will never be in the room with a chest icon, you can find it in usuall room wtih a skull.

After you found it than kill it, go to the neighbor room and than teleport back to town (teleport, not to go gome option, so u can back to the same place). After you are in town, go back to the dungeon trough teleport gate.

All enemies respawned, so as our mimic. By that way you can farm enough mimics pretty fast and get your own mimic pet. Enjoy!
