Exterminator

Description
““An extreme but necessary measure”



Overview
A professional in disease control and prevention, the Exterminator was summoned to the Hamlet to take care of a seemingly mundane rat infestation, only to find that the corruption in the sewer reaches far beyond the material plane. Bounded by contract and his own code of duty, the Exterminator is here to stay until the root of the infestation has been removed and the ground cleansed of its remains.

The Exterminator is a mid rank offensive support with a niche of anti DoT and disease, being able to ward his entire team with great resistance while disrupting the enemy with a variety of debuff, disruption and stun. Though his direct damage isn’t great, over time, the accumulated blight damage of his fumigator can wear down an entire team at once, and the weakened can be finished off with a stomp of gun stock.

Combat Skills
Apprehend
XOOO – OOOO

A low damage pull with guard piercing and disable. Guaranteed pull vs marked

Collar and Contain
XOOX – OOXX

A no damage debuff that massive reduce target’s damage and SPD. Has a team-wide CD.

Trap
OOOO – OOOO

Self mark and a high damage riposte with stun and bleed. Only trigger once. If the riposte hasn’t been triggered, can be activated again to kick the bear trap at the enemy, dealing the same high damage, stun and bleed.

Smoke Out
OOOX – O+O+O+O

Strong AoE blight that can also friendly fire your team. Debuff enemy dodge

Exterminate Them
OOOX – OOOO

Mark enemy. Reduce DoT resist and increase DoT amount received

Sanitize
O+O+O+O

Single use. Light aoe stress heal. Buff your team disease and Dot Resist substantially

Stomp Out
XOOO - OOXX

Low damage with a chance to stun. Damage and stun increased vs blighted enemy and/or Beast.

Collaring didn't seem that useful. One enemy doing less or no damage or you could bring a highwayman that can dodge and kill the enemy first round. It's not crazy useful in normal fight rooms or hallway fights.

Brought him against the Siren cause "crazy AOE blight" "absolute boss killer" was not any more helpful than any other character arguably worse because every time he got captured he blighted my whole party. BECAUSE NOT ALL BOSSES ARE JUST DAMAGE.

Now I am not saying there are not situation where he can be used effectively to be extremely powerful. That is every class.

remove horizon and Diogen are just wrong.

He can buff party resistances because otherwise would do far more damage to your own party during a dungeon than to enemies. Using Sanitize means you are missing out on actually doing damage that turn, you are gonna take more hits. Not Sanitizing means unless you are bringing just plague doctors and exterminators you're going to blight your own party.

The AOE is no different than a plague doctor, just has a possibility of hitting the other two slots. You could take a turn to mark to increase damage but that's another turn of not doing any damage meaning at least 2 turns of every fight is set up to use the AOE effectively and safely.

Great design, but as most character's in the workshop, he wants to do everything. Mark, Pull, Stun, Riposte, Stress Heal, Buff Resistances, Boss Trivialising DMG Debuff and finally AOE blight. And he does it all better than any other class.
A little restraint would go a long way, because the concept and art for it is so polished, it's a shame playing with him feels like cheating as I breeze through encounters with 0 stress on anyone at the end. TBF I havn't tried him at lvl 5+ areas yet.

fun concept and very well made overall but way overtuned.
1.collar and contain trivializes most bossfights,
2. smoke out is just the most insane aoe damage and the drawback of maybe blighting your own heroes gets completely negated by his
3rd laughably overtuned ability: sanitize which makes your party immune to any dot (you might notice, most stat ups are like 10% to resistance with a drawback...this guy buffs 30%+ resistance +stress resistance + stress heal)


10/10 for concept and powerfantasy
3/10 if you are looking for a new addition in line with the balancing of other classes

again, i really like this guy but wouldn't include him again for balancing reasons (try stacking 2 of them in farmstead, lol)

It's a great character with great concept, but collar and contain is waaaaaay to strong i think. I've never seen it fail and it basically neuter an enemy for the duration of the fight, i think it should be one time per encounter, for exemple i managed to bring a guy to -105% damage which should not be possible.
