Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you enjoy the first map of project Garbarus

Here is a still work in progress map that will be polished up and get many quality of life improvements throughout the coming week so keep checking it out the coming week! If you find a bug instantly report it my dudes It would be a huge help!

There are many emplacement points at where you can huddle down and shoot from a defended position, for example trench viewholes and building windows. come up to one and press f to enter a spot where you are set to where you can easily shoot. Rn it is a known bug that some of them don't work which will be fixed soon


This map is pretty graphically intensive so you wont really be able to get away with a potato pc anymore when playing this. It is though optimized some and will get even more optimized. If you cant run it comfortably try turning down settings like resolution and graphics and if that don't work try the "optimized" version that is less graphically intensive. I also do have to note that this map uses tessellation and is the first map on Ravenfield to utilize it after the tessellation demonstration. This does though, unfortunately mean macs cant run it as macs don't support dx11 tessellation

This is a project that is being made by multiple people and some problems occurred due to holidays and people being gone so not all the content is in here yet, this being custom skins and vehicles that are linked to the map and cutscenes as well. If you want to play this being lore friendly then download the only project Garbarus skin out rn and set it to the attackers, and get a WW1 German skin for the defenders, but this will be automatically done for you later. Also get and equip the Atien smg as it is the Nco's main weapon.

The resineek assault, the first armed conflict of the islyan war. a perilous undertaking. For many men may have been lost to the cracking repugnance and flaring loathing of the wötrian custodians laying in wait in the minute industrial locality of resineek. Not only do the wöstrian guards have prestocked supplies in wait, presighted artillery, and hitherto erected positions, strongholds in the town. no for the trivial bakarian garrison must also contest with a possible surplus of wöstrian manpower yet unknown of, in the realm of their fortified positions. Upon the dawn of... bakarian sapper squads ready their 4 AVE AFVs to assault wöstrian emplacements with segments of the famed 4th rifle brigade under command of albert bertrand. The required instruments of war, speed, surprise, and knowledge of the enemy positions, all but the last were apparent to the assembled strike force. The bakarians initiate with preparations of heavy weaponry and fire support elements, siege mortar emplacements, rocket propelled launchers. The 4th heavy engineers AVE sections utilize their cumbersome 290mm demolition charge launchers, but it is a risky undertaking for they must come close to strike the bunkers, in the face of heavy fire they know not what the wöstian defenders hold in preparation for them.
As the offensive commences, bullets strike in a fearsome hail, endlessly and effortlessly slicing through the bakarian ranks, machine gun bunkers manned by wöstrian gunners on the outskirts of the town are at fault. A bakarian crew readies their 34,5cm siege artillery mortar, loads the near 300kg heavy shell, and fires. The blast cutting through the thick air, heavy and dank laden with the iron smell of blood, of death, and of fallen comrades, the bloodied, damned reek of what could have been if war and terror had not struck. The world comes to a standstill as the heavy shell laden with explosives thunders down in the wöstrian line, the air itself as if recoiling from it in sheer dread. Molten shrapnel scours the lines, a screaming wöstrian combatant flung into the bakarian lines, as the mortar fires another time. Exploiting the gap in wöstrian defences, the bakarian charge commences, under cover of the grenadiers bakarian engineers fling bundle explosives at wöstrian emplacements and bunkers, storming through the abruptly ceasing defences. In the town wait many more horrors, who will emerge victor the quarrel of resineek?
