Requirements
- A few caps to claim workshops
- Level 18 for the Contractor perk (you must max it out)

Extras:

- If you have a bunch of resources needed for this to work this is a plus like 1k cloth or 7600 cloth to do this in one go, but you can just use workshop resources
- Being a Fallout 1st makes it much easier but is not necessary, as I am not
(if Fallout 1st member you can store unlimited resources in your scrapbox and you can either grind them for this to be done in a single sitting or you can already have them because of playing for a while, and you can play on a private server where all workshops will be yours without PvP and nobody is going to use up their resources)

Resources that will be used for this: Wood, Cloth, Rubber, Steel, Concrete and a bit of time.

Tips
You can claim workshops by holding V from anywhere within the workshop area, you don't need to press E on the workstation itself

Level 2 contractor perk lets you build items in 1 to 1 item to resource ratio meaning 1 resource will be used to make 1 item (unless it needs to different resources but each resource will still only cost 1). This also means that you can endlessly scrap and rebuild them but I don't recommend as it takes time, is boring and tiring. I recommend you going around different workshops or server hopping to a few of your favorite ones to complete this achievement.

If you plan on scrapping items then I suggest you go under a roof or stair so you don't fly off in your jetpack

My favorites include Beckley Mine Exhibit, Billings Homestead, all Energy Plants (I also farm cores in the process), Tyler County Dirt Track and Hemlock Holes Maintenance. Mainly because of the resources they have, the additional things you can mine if you are not planning to server hop, the height you can build at and the fast travel point spawn distance to them. Also you can make a route and not waste caps travelling around. And when you capture a workshop you get plans and caps.

You can use this map to find all workshops: https://www.falloutmaps.com/#!/

Here is my route

Like I mentioned before, workshops come pre-stacked with free resources so you don't need to have any on you. They can have anywhere between 100-300 resources on them.

An easy way to obtain a lot of resources is to gank someone. If they attack you by mistake (if they are in combat with other npcs for example) and have no pacifist mode enabled that player will highlight on lower screen with caps price for their life. Take it, chances are they are careless lugging around a lot of junk.

You can also bait people into PvP by going wanted, or attacking someone at their workshop. But in these cases they might have their junk stored.

I once killed a guy with 1k of each junk type by breaking into his Santatron and waterpurifiers, he couldn't take it and attacked and lost his scrap too.

If you are wanted and have lots of scrap you should go into a shelter immediately as dying there will get rid of your bounty but you won't lose scrap. Additionally, you can change server if you got a jackpot. Often, inside a shelter there is a stash too.

Sometimes workshops can lead to PvP so try to store all your scrap in your stash if you are scared of dying. And don't go afk in workshop area as you are flagged for pvp when you are inside but not outside

In the process of getting these achievements for objects built you can also travel all over the map and visit all workshops to get the bonus 80 Atoms from discovering all the workshops totaling your Atomic gain to 500, use any F76 interactive map to find all workshops

Functional Objects
Let's illustrate main examples and rules on these guys first.

So, basically a functional object is anything that serves an interactive purpose, like a chest, or a defensive wall that adds defense, or a crafting station.

I suggest you build very specific items to complete this. Wooden Chests, Steel Chests and Concrete Defense Covers (which are found under defenses section) shown on the pictures below:

The idea is to stack items on top of each other and blueprint them so you can spam them from blueprint at any workshop in large quantities

To stack items you just need to press build without moving your pointer, it will automatically stack several items on top. If you want to build higher don't move your mouse just use the scroll wheel to drag it back on top. Or you can find/build yourself a perch and stack more. However, I do not advise this as some workshops have a low ceiling and you won't be able to fit them. So I suggest building medium height stacks

How to build right blueprints?

Don't do the following, as it won't save the chests, it will only save 1 or several. So building something inside of a building and saving it doesn't work. Or on top of a floor.

However, if you have a pre-fab, pre-made building like Brotherhood Bunker or Log Cabin or similar, the items like chests you put inside will save. And a single stack of items put on top of each other will also save. The pictures below should show you working examples

Additionally, the scrap cost is the same as the build cost for all workshop items built with contractor

Decorative Furnishing (Floor/Wall)
This one works just like the previous one

So let me just show you what you can build here (resources are wood, rubber, cloth and steel)

Wall steel signs and wooden paintings (the more letters you attach to your sign before you blueprint it the more steel and objects it builds, I had a sign pre-made from my camp, otherwise I would just spam letters randomly). Make sure your signs only use minimal wood or steel for quantity purposes.

Floor rubber and cloth mats/rugs, those are slender and stack easily.

Since they stack so easily it is not hard to over stack them so you won't be able to save blueprint as it will be over budget. So don't go crazy like shown below

Structures
Here, the game is slightly different. You will only need Wood and Steel.

Rules are different because these objects do not stack but they tether to each other and they require some space to build. I will show you how to build them step by step and then blueprint and place.

1. Floor pads
I call them. My favorite ones as they give you a lot of opportunity to attach them to each other and then you build many floor tiles with just 1 wood each per tile while using 1 steel to hold it all up.

Step one is to build wood floor foundation, steel stair and wood floor on the 2nd floor of stair, like this

Step two is to build a lot of 1 tile square wooden floors attached to 2nd floor and blueprint this. We will call it Floor pad base.

Then you need to build another floor and blueprint it. This floor will be used to be attached to the base floor. To blueprint it right we need to make a tile pathway away from the base pad, make it 4-5 tiles away in the air and then start building a 2nd floor that is connect to 1 tile square with a stair. Build lots of 1 tile squares on the next floor. Like this (ignore the green blueprint object)

In order to blueprint it right you need to stand all the way back on the edge tile of the 3d floor and move forward expanding the blueprint until you cover the stair down and 1 tile of the 2nd floor to use it to attach to other floors.

In order to place the 2nd floor blue prints constantly turn it around spamming build and it will randomly attach it in different places

2. Skyscrapper

This is something I built for when there are many objects on the ground and I can only build high up in the air, however I do not really like to use it

You just build a floor, then stack walls very high (you can add occasional roof so you can jump up to the top to continue building, and then if you wish remove them on the way down)

Then you add lots of roofs on top. But roofs are much bigger and require more resources than 1 square tile floor.

Just so that you have different building options.

End result could look something like that but in the end I just spammed floor pads everywhere

The End.

I like this guide, everything but the PVP part.
FYI, you can use the red toolbox stash plan for the functional objects part, with contractor, it will cost only 1 steel. It is most effective as it takes up little space
