If you've never listened to Synthwave before, this song is where you begin.

LOL... Way-to waive the subjective music flag for contention.

True, its not a genuine 100% a synth-wave track, it doesn't have that recurring baseline usually in 4/4 quarter notes nor does it have that iconic ARP effect however it is a good starting point.

It might be a good starting point but I find it a bit removed from the synthwave genre. It's main influence are old video game soundtracks and I don't find much of that in Resonance. I would recommend things like I See A Light / I Feel Everything by Eight Bits for some lighter sound, Kavinsky's newer stuff for quality and (IMO) quite apparent video game inspiration, though his stuff borders on house music. There's Hadouken by Lupus Noctum - a good mix of old and new. Remixes by Astrophysics on YouTube I find quite good too (Especially JoJo stuff and There Is A Light That Never Goes Out and Love Will Tear Us Apart). Besides that there's also Power Glove stuff (they did some songs for Cyberpunk's OST) and Magic Sword, as their music seems quite widespread

I agree. Most prime example of Lo-Fi synthwave that invokes a feeling of nostalgia!
