A New World - Bulletproof Edition

This mod was originally called A New World. When the developer added new game features, the original mod was no longer working. So I created this mod to ensure that compatibility will be guaranteed going forward.

If you are subscribed to the original New World mod, be sure to unsubscribe from it - especially if you wish to subscribe to this version.



Overhauls the game graphics to provide an alternate high fantasy setting.

- All enemy artwork has been changed.
- All ally and location cards have new images.
- All ally ability cards that used the ally as a picture now have unique images.
- Many new male and female player portraits have been added.

Focus has been placed on theme and continuity across races and art style. Some races have kept their original feel, while others have been changed. For example, the Nymph are now a race of dryads and tree-ents. Elves are dark-skinned and worship the moon. The Unseelie are Asian cultured who look down upon armor, where the Seelie are a splinter group who embrace it in the ways of the samurai. Etc..



Updates apply to the base game, DLC's 1 to 4, and Rs Monster Compendium I. Though if you don't have the DLCs, the mod still works fine with what you have.

The mod is purely cosmetic and does not change any game mechanics.

The mod is about 400 MB in size.



I made this mod on my personal time and never ask for or accept any donations or money for the mods I make.

I did not make the art in this mod. Over 1,900 images were obtained by doing a basic search on the internet. That said, I spent easily 100+ hours on this - all images researched to line up with race and class while striving to maintain continuity in art style across everything, creating new racial themes and aligning the artwork to correspond, editing so the zoom level has the eyes and knees line up at the same height on every image (different depending on humans vs dwarves vs giants, etc..), adjusting contrast/brightness, editing scripts to get the game to know the difference between enemy and ally cards - as they share the same image otherwise, even a few tweaks on the image itself - for example, modding in a gun on a centaur, or drawing in pointy ears on a samurai because it's a Seelie and a Fay.

After having made the mod, I realized I should have noted the name's of artists and posted them here. I did not do this, but I do not want to see the mod close down. So, if any artist who sees their work in the mod and would like me to credit them in this mod description, I will add it. If any artist has a problem with me having their artwork in the mod, then I will remove their art from it. If for any reason the mod needs to come down entirely, then that's that.
