well, considering your one-way variants have a lot of subs, i would say people do find places to use them. For me its usefull when i want to make conection between two roads without letting other traffic thro. TM:PE lets you ban that traffic, but very often pasangers just spawn a car right in front of trolleybus/tram and go until next crossroad. Same happens when they drive in that road, stop and then despawn. Road it self still allows cars to go but only till the first segment

there are plans for a two-way trolleybus track, but so far I have no idea where such a road can be used

like two way tram road, but one version with trolleybuses and other only for trolleybuses
