Quite honestly, if you already have a titanium Geomancer, this version is only really necessary if you want it to have better hyperspace range. Otherwise the titanium variant will do just nicely in naonite space, with the exception of converting the claw's turret blocks to naonite for mining. But you will want to upgrade to this before going too far into trinium space for the defensive bonuses.
