How to become a better player (instantly)
By Lee
Former member of national reset team, a former coach, presents you with a list of short and clear tips to improve your CS:GO experience within minutes.

Tired of losing competitive matchmaking?
Every teammate is either a griefer or an extremely toxic newbie?
Stuck in gold nova?
All enemies are cheating?
Everyone on your team is always bad, just not you?

You're the problem, read and follow the next steps to change your Counter Strike ways.

1. Shut up. Microphone has a purpose, use it to give information to your teammates about the vital points of the game, do it professionally, short and clear, pretend that you're in a job interview for that matter. Screaming and swearing is what you do and that takes both you and your teammates even deeper into losing yourselves as well as the rounds and the whole game eventually.

2. Forget about having a better rank. In order to achieve a high rank you need to be an experienced and skilled player. If you're not, you will not achieve a high rank in any fair and enjoyable way. First learn how to play well to have a need for a higher rank. Make sure you know how good or bad you are and admit that the rank you have represents your current skills well enough. Playing games for higher rank will not get you anywhere, play to play better and a good rank will come to you eventually.

3. Not every enemy who kills you is cheating. Admit players are better than you, not to mention reporting all of them will result in a questionable Trust Factor, you will end up tilted and deluded, having your time and nerves wasted instead of learning anything from it. Most importantly - don't cheat yourself. Good way to avoid this is to practice and become a great player, develop your understanding of players around you and yourself, grow as a person and a player, become an adult and respect the others, better or worse players and don't forget : Hey, sometimes your opponent is having a good day.

4. Practice. Practice instead of crying, practice instead of complaining, practice when you're winning and practice when you're losing. Dedication and concentration is a need as well as knowing Rome wasn't built in a day, same applies to your in-game skill and understanding development. Grow with time, spend your time well, Single-player workshop map for aim and speed, snacks and good music and developing a daily routine is a start. Learn maps and call-outs, play different modes with different guns.
Find teammates, friends, similar mindset people and surround yourself with as motivated people as you are. Help them and get help yourself. Do mistakes and learn from them.

Best of luck in the game. Change your ways.
