Damen NH1816 Class Lifeboat

Principal innovations in hull design, fender design, ergonomics, communications and navigation systems, along with many other new features, based on testing and real operation experience, give the SAR 1906 superior capabilities when compared to conventional lifeboats. Speed, range, efficiency, seaworthiness and safety are all aspects that have been fundamentally improved in the design, as well as ease of maintenance.

This is my 1:1 scale Stormworks rendition of the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Institution (KNRM) NH1816 class lifeboat built in cooperation with Damen. I have tried to replicate the general exterior of it as well as I could, but given the limits of Stormworks, It's obviously not 100% accurate. Even though the exterior has been carefully constructed after the real life counterpart, I have built the interior and bridge largely based on my own imagination. My main goal with this build was making a visually authentic looking lifeboat, with the control systems as easy to use as possible to increase playability and make it simple to use. I'm very satisfied with how this build has turned out.
