River District Treasure Map Locations
This will give you a rough idea of the area you need to be in for each map.
Click the map to enlarge, once you have identified the number of the map you are wanting to dig up, click the X button in the top right.
There is an "Overview" menu on the right hand side column, select the map location number and it'll take you straight to that section.

In the bottom right of the screenshots are the co-ordinates of where that dig & chest site is located.
You can find the co-ordinates of where you are in game by pressing M and looking at the bottom left corner of your map.
Treasure Map Farming
In order to get Treasure Maps in the River District you need to do the crypts, dungeons & sewers underneath the Dig Sites.
A dig site can be found in each fort around the district.
You can only enter a dig site when the fort is under our control, if it has been overtaken by enemies then you cannot access a dig site.

A red shovel on the map indicates that a dig site cannot be accessed.

A gold shovel on the map indicates that someone is taking back the fort and is close to recapturing it.

A green shovel indicates that a fort has been retaken, but the dig site has not yet been designated as a crypt, dungeon or sewer.

The swords indicate that a fort is under attack.

You access the dig sites by acquiring a pass, the passes can be purchased from the Site Foreman/Cart in each fort or found in chests.

Hovering over a set of ladders on a map will tell you what sort of instance has been designated for that dig site.
If nothing has been designated for a dig site then you can designate it at the Site Foreman/Cart.

Each time a dig site is given a designation, one of two maps are spawned for that kind of instance, I'm not quite yet (wasn't paying that much attention) sure if this is randomly generated when you enter, or whether it is set when designating the dig site.

Within each instance one of two enemy spawn types occur randomly when you enter, you either get a boss at the end and one big wave of enemies coming for you.
Or five smaller waves of enemies come for you at the end.
The bosses are better, they drop better loot.
Five dungeons will complete the daily "Mercentile Missions" quest you get from Ostaram Copperwise.

Crypt 1

This is a basic kill and collect instance, nothing more to it.

Crypt 2

This is another basic kill and collect instance, nothing more to it.

Dungeon 1

Yup yet another basic kill and collect instance, nothing more to it.
***to be completed***

Dungeon 2

Yup yet another basic kill and collect instance, nothing more to it.

Sewer 1

You guessed it, nothing to it.

Sewer 2

Aha gotcha, and so will the traps in this instance if you're not too careful.
I've marked them on the map with and X, and provided screenshots of where to expect them.

Have fun hunting.

This kind of thing is what the Devs should release the week a new mod comes out. Top Notch.
