A fun, albeit greedy, spell amp walkthrough for Xiukai that is oriented for beginners and Duo/Squad gameplay!

Gear

Gloves - Fangtian Huaji: ATK + // MS - // AMP + // HR +

(Highest priority item; the AMP and Healing Reduction are great on Xiukai. Also note that HR bonuses do not stack)

Chest - Commander's Armor: DEF + // AMP +

(Farm meteorite to upgrade to Kabana if you make it to late game!)

Accessory - Uchiwa: SP + // LS + // AMP +

(You could always go Schrodinger's Box for a larger HP pool if you're finding the AMP high enough prior to building Uchiwa. You could pivot into White Crane Fan as well, however I find that Uchiwa is the most effective tactic available as of 0.19.4)

Leg - Glacial Shoes: Double Regen + // MS ++ // AMP +

(This piece makes the build hilariously fun with the movespeed buff. If you have this and Fangtian early, you're able to poke with your Q effectively in addition to having a strong roaming presence if you're a zone or two away from your allies. I have seen other guides that say there are really no good boots for Xiukai, but I contend that Glacial Shoes are an excellent option!)

Head - Imperial Crown: DEF + // Double Regen + // AMP +

(I don't really think there is a better headpiece here, but I have pivoted to Imperial Burgonet or Chinese Opera Mask in some games with mixed success)

Arm - Draupnir: DEF + // SP + // HP Regen + // AMP +

(Additionally, Bracelet of Skadi or Auto Arms works pretty well if you get lucky with a drop/looting a corpse or if you just find yourself needing to pivot due to being locked out a zone with a resource you need.)

Pathing

As you can see, this is a lot of places to hit on the way to full build. Even though the build is a little greedy, it has viability in Duos/Squads if you have good comms with your teammates and have them grabbing you resources like Steel Chains and Hammers from Alley or Pond before you get there!

I suggest not spending too much time farming mobs/collecting anything other than consumables to craft good food on your route because you need to get to Pond as fast as possible.

The biggest crunch point for the build takes place at Pond. If you are highrolling Avenue and Hotel before Pond, you'll probably be fine. However, if Pond gets giga looted before you arrive, you'll have to pivot to Temple and possibly Hyperloop to Forest to complete Fangtian. This is sub-optimal pathing obviously due to potentially missing out on the resources in Alley, but sometimes it just be like that.
Skills
START
E > Q > W

MAX
  • Max E
  • Max Q
  • No R until Q max (Unless you really need it to scare off an enemy team)
  • 1/2 points in W
  • Points in Passive last (I know it's good, but this is an all in build)

COMBOS
  • E > W : Engage
  • Q > R > E > W : All in Teamfight. (Use the S key to stop movement to aim your R!)
  • Q > E : Disengage (Slow them with Q and E to vector yourself away)

NOTES
  • Q and E are your max damage skill due to the AMP!
  • USE QUICKCAST! (Settings > Input > Quickcast All)
  • Have food on your 1/2 slot and DON'T FORGET TO PRE-POT! Xiukai's Passive gives him insane regen especially with crafted Blue/Green food!

Notes

I think I'll add a consumables crafting section here soon. Xiukai has early SP problems especially if you're not crafting/finding materials you need to keep up on food. Don't neglect the power of using the X key to rest in a bush when you have a moment to be better prepared for entering a contested zone!
