We can cast meteor for free with soul warp, Since this build doesn't need any attack speed we can get a big sheet damage boost from brutal attacks rune




Life guard is a big source of survivability here, 50% reduction from all sources is too good to pass up.




Since we are using soul warp constantly, battle boots gives us another source of damage reduction. The rune on boots allows soul warp to get its max range, and doesn't consume any souls.



Sun and moon is here for fire/frost synergy, casting soul warp will boost your fire dmg by 3x, kingsrock is needed for gem strength



The vestige of lost souls is one of the best toughness armors, it drains your mana every 5 seconds to make a barrier. You should aim for about a 1mil barrier at t400. This allows up to free up some healing/damage stagger enchants for all resist. You don't want any damage stagger with barrier, as stagger will bypass barrier



Rune increases barrier strength



With the Balgars nerf, cosmic cape is the new BIS accessory for damage. It will convert your mana into damage. Because we are using vestige to generate a barrier, I have purposefully not augmented it fully so that we can trade some damage for sustain. It is up to you to find the right balance of toughness vs damage output.

We need this for the cooldown reduction to soul warp as well as defensive stats



Soul warp: Use it it cast meteor and apply all the associated buffs. This will pull enemies together


Ritual of banes provides more damage reduction, bone spear is only equipped because it is a bane spell



Fire storm is applied to help stack burning conviction, you should have 5 stacks going at all times.

Detonation: the weaken effect helps with elite packs and bosses
