Crash on launch (splash screen)

So here's what you should try.

1. Install PhysX from Support folder in your main game folder.
2. Download and install PhysX from here (just to be sure).
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/physx/9_13_0604/physx-9-13-0604-driver/
3. Set compatibility mode for your game EXE file with Windows XP SP3.

Still can't start the game (Optional)

In case, it didn't work.

1. Move PhysXLoader.dll from Program Files (x86) (possibly from non-x86) to your main game folder, where your EXE file located. You can try the same thing with PhysXLoader64.dll.

Game settings (resolution etc) won't save

1. Delete d3dx9_32.dll in your main game folder.
2. Download and install d3d9 file from here and place it in your main game folder.

3. Change game settings and apply/save.

How to skip splash screens

1. Open "user.ini" file in your main game folder.
2. Delete these lines:

splash_screen_start_01_bg = external_logo_frogwares_bg
splash_screen_start_02_bg = external_logo_frogwares_bg
splash_screen_start_03_bg = logo_ageia

3. Save the changes.

The Awakened and Jack the Ripper

Compatibility, Max settings and PhysX solution should work in The Awakened.

Max settings solution should work in Vs Jack the Ripper.

mine would launch but the controls were awful - super laggy mouse, so slow to do anything, sensitivity would do nothing.

go to the game folder
right click the exe
run in windows 7 compatibility mode & 600x400
it works like a dream now
