When you search a ruin for treasure (i.e, have to do a puzzle), with the settlement having belonged to a dead faction, you will now get an opportunity to resurrect them in exchange for money. The more you spend, the greater the force that is spawned.

This goes excellently with a mod that increases the number of hordes during the chaos invasion. You can now lead a resistance.

Update: Now the revived faction will be given the settlement that you searched

Update: You now get a choice to make the revived faction an ally, a vassal, or an independent faction

Update: Adjusted the script to have more delays, reducing weirdness in multiplayer campaigns.

Update: Added fix for Norsca factions

Update: Updated for latest patch

I recommend looking through my collection of campaign enhancement mods, as they all bring some much needed dynamism to the game: https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2101461335

Funny thing is, what even happened at CA? All this because some woman didn't like a comment from a man. Now this mod author is assuming rape. It's all in his head.

Why is the mod author attacking gamers as if we've done something wrong? People like this should never be in a position of power.

So what was the reason for removing it from Warhammer 3, but not remove it from Warhammer 2?

Let's see, don't generalize.
For example, I just found out that there is a controversy over sexual harassment )=, or rape, it is not clear to me from the comments.

Male gamers don't like sexual assault being called out.

@MrExec You are a shallow bigot with no sense of humanity who decides to take out the fact that someone does not want to reward carelessness. People like you who sit in a bubble and let the issues that big companies continue to commit make you underserving of the work others put hours into. Go be useful for once and cope on your own in the corner. Just wanted you to know who you are.

Oh boy, we got ourselves a gamer. Caring more about your save game and entitlement to my work, than victims of rape and sexual assault. Typical male behaviour.

I'll report him as well.

I honestly don't care. I can spend the 2 weeks + to get back to where I was. I just think you needed to really know who you are. And you're little buddies can D ride you all they want. Just know I know who you are and you don't matter.
