Mindustry Achievement Guide [6.0]
By Crowley
Finally added all of the 6.0 Achievements!

This Guide should help you get all the Achievements for this game!
Given that I am rather bad at it, myself, it also aims for simple solutions over complicated ones.
You should note that many of these achievements trigger rather delayed (in first line those with a counter attached to them).
So if you think you should have gotten an achievement, yet haven't yet, just try waiting for a bit!

Also, Achievements are available when using mods, however can generally only be earned in the campaign and not a custom game!

Progression Achievements
A Grave Mistake
Research the Router.

Explorer
Unlock all zones in the campaign.

You can see the requirements for any given zone by just clicking on it. If you have already fulfilled them, just press 'unlock'.

Material I
Unlock Titanium.

Unlock, in this context, merely means 'mine it'. A Pneumatic Drill is required in order to mine Titanium.

Material II
Unlock Thorium.

Unlock, in this context, merely means 'mine it'. A Laser Drill is required in order to mine Thorium.

Core Rain
Launch your core into a zone 30 times.

For me, this Achievement only triggered after actually leaving the 30th zone, yet that might be due to how delayed many of these Achievements trigger.

Researcher
Research everything.

Acceleration
New with 6.0
Activate the Interplanetary Accelerator.

You unlock the Interplanetary Accelerator when completing the final named Sector (Planatery Launch Terminal) and it requires a large amount of resources to build and power (63.000 items total) but while grinding for 'Global Domination' you will probably find a quiet moment in which to build this.

Assured Victory
Missable - trivial
New with 6.0
Capture a sector while playing on a different sector.

This can be done in two main ways: the first is that you leave the sector at the last wave, and if your defences are good enough, you will get this, otherwise you will have to redo everything.
Similarly, you will sometimes get an alert that your sector is under attack (if it is next to an enemy sector - so one with a base to destroy on it) and if your defences from capturing said sector are still intact, there is a good chance they will defend it without your interference, granting this achievement.

Small Empire
New with 6.0
Control 10 sectors at once.

As of writing this, this is bugged, as you don't need to control 10 sectors, but merely win 10 levels, so successfully defending also counts for this.

Building/Mining Achievements
Endless Shipments
Launch 100,000 items total.

You will likely get these two Achievements simply through playing, yet in case you still struggle with hitting 100k, you should always send your excess items that no longer fit into your core to a Launch Pad using the Overflow block.

Create
Place 10,000 Blocks.

A Spectacular Disaster
Cause a Thorium Reactor to overheat and explode.

Simply feed a Thorium Reactor some Thorium yet don't supply any Cryofluid. Note that the map 'Nuclear Production Complex' already starts with the reactor and drills in place, so you merely have to supply some power and place the missing conveyors.

Collector
Fill the core to maximum capacity with every type of material.

Different cores have different maximum capacities, yet with the new way you can stay in a zone forever without new enemies spawning, this is pretty straightforward.
As of the 6.0 update, it also requires the materials that can't be used for research. (i.e. Sand, Coal, Scrap, Pyratite, Blast Compound and Spore Pods)

Liftoff
Use the Launch Pad.

Heresy
Hidden
Build two routers next to each other.

Head Start
Missable - trivial
Launch into a zone with 10,000 or more items configured.

With 6.0 you can always configure your loadout before launching - this is technically missable in case you never do it and conquer ALL zones.

Ignition
Hidden
Power up an Impact Reactor.

Doing this isn't as easy as it might sound: Not only do you constantly need to feed it Blast Compound and Cryofluid, you also need to supply 1500 power units/second to even get it started.

Production I
New with 6.0
Reach 5,000 items/min total production in the campaign.

Production II
New with 6.0
Reach 50,000 items/min total production in the campaign.

This counts the overall production in all your zones, not just the one you are currently in, so both these achievements are a natural byproduct of playing the Campaign.

Fighting Achievements
Scrapper
Destroy 1000 enemy units.

Purge
Destroy 100,000 enemy units.

This actually takes a surprisingly long time to do, and kills made on Custom Maps don't count. With 6.0, you actually have to actively play, since there are no more endless waves, yet due to extremely many zones existing, it can probably be attained during a playthrough anyway.

Conqueror
Win 10 attack-mode matches.

Only the 'Destroy the Core' zones in the campaign count for this, no custom maps.

Blitz
Destroy the enemy core in an attack zone in 5 waves or fewer.

This is actually surprisingly hard to do and cannot be done on a custom map.
I needed multiple tries on the easiest attack zone (i.e. 'Salt Flats') by maxing out the resources I took with me to 9,000 and spamming bombers.

However, update 6.0 permits an easier method: build a real large robot production on an attack zone (no matter how many waves this takes) and then delete your core defences, purposefully losing.
Now, when you do it again, take as many resources with you as possible, since large parts of your structures will still exist (mind you, energy generation is almost always destroyed then, so focus on getting that back up asap!)
However, you can probably get the robot production back up at the first wave already, and when you are confident you built enough to overwhelm the enemy, give the attack command.
It is also extremely useful that you can control the bots yourself now (ctrl+click when close to them) and then press 'G' to have nearby bots follow you, rather than mindlessly charge in.
If you are in the lategame already, using T5 units is the obvious way to go: one of the fastest ways I have found is building an Oct (T5 Flying Support Unit) and using it to carry a Toxopid (T5 Crawler) and dropping it right next to the core. The Oct's shields should be strong enough to get you there if you move smartly.

It might still take some attempts, but with this tactic, you should reliably be able to get it!

Tenacious
Survive 100 waves.

Since waves are limited now, you have to beat a Zone with 100+ waves and can no longer just do this on an easy map.

Overload
Hit a water-covered enemy with electricity.

You have to place down a Wave turret and connect it with a water source, as well as an Arc turret, which requires power.

Deflection
Destroy a unit with its own reflected bullet.

Phase Walls have this property.

Raze
Destroy 1,000 enemy blocks.

This can only be done in attack-mode zones.

Slayer
Defeat a Boss.

You will eventually run into one of these (With 6.0 the first one is the final wave of the Crater), yet beware, as they are surprisingly tough. The best strategy is a layered defense (i.e. multiple clusters of turrets on the way to the core), with the 'Scatter' being a solid choice to spam early on against the flying Bosses and either Lancers or Duos/Scatters with Graphite ammunition.

Kamikaze
Hidden
Fill your mech up with explosive materials and die, creating an explosion.

The explosive material in question is 'Blast Compound'. Make sure to die to an enemy, and not in the drop zone!

It Begins
Build a ground unit factory.

Direct Assault
Issue the Attack command using the Command Center.

As this is the standard mode, you must first change to another mode before switching back to Attack.

Flock
Have 10 Poly drones active at once.

These units are fairly expensive, yet you can just build this after already having beaten a map, removing any pressure from you.

Swarm
Have 100 units active at once.

You need to use a Command Center to stop your units from dying to the enemy. But once more, you can just do this after clearing a map to relieve any pressure you might have.
Since there is a maximum count of any given unit, rather than just per factory, as of 6.0, this is a little more tedious now, and you have to remember that your command limit increases when you upgrade your core!
The command count for different tiers of units are seperate, so make sure to not only spam one tier.

Legions
Build 1000 units total.

You Should've Listened
Hidden
Die in the drop point exclusion zone.

Just stand in the white circle around the enemy spawn when the wave starts. Not that you can safely enter and leave it at all other times.

Invulnerable
Build the Meltdown, Spectre and Foreshadow.

These are three turrets you will unlock rather late-game.

Lone Guardian
Survive 10 waves on any zone without placing any blocks.

Easily possible on 'Ground Zero'.

Incinerate
Use Pyratite in any turret.

Efficiency
Cool a turret with water or cryofluid.

You have to connect some water source with a turret by connecting them with pipes.

Escalation
New with 6.0
Construct a Tier 5 unit.

You will first need to research the 'Tetrative Reconstructor' and then an actual T5 upgrade, and then build a T1 unit, upgrade it to T2, then T3, then T4, and finally T5, requiring a fair bit of power and items overall.
(The Tier 4 units are the enemies that initially serve as Guardians)

Airlift
New with 6.0
Pick up a T5 unit in an Oct unit carrier.

The 'Oct' is the T5 Upgrade for the Flying Support class of units, so you have to research at least two T5 units, the Oct and any Ground Unit (As it can't carry flying/swimming units).
Also, you might need to rebind the key to pick up a unit, as for me it was bound to '[' which is a little awkward to press.

Misc/Multiplayer Achievements
Champion
Win 10 multiplayer PvP matches.

You can host a PvP Server by clicking Play>Custom Game and then choosing a map with the crossed swords above it.
Once clicking it, the option to choose 'PvP' as a gamemode appears. For how to win these without the help of someone else, refer to the next Achievement (Crowd).

Crowd
Host a server with 10 players on it.

If you, like me, are terrible at social interactions and prefer to not actually play any multiplayer yet still want the achievement, you can download the free version from this site: https://anuke.itch.io/mindustry
While it encourages a donation, it isn't a requirement.
Now, you can just launch the .exe you just downloaded 10 times, and after pressing 'Host Multiplayer Game' in the menu on any map or host a Custom Game from the main menu, you can join your own game under Play>Join Game>Local Servers.
This achievement took about a minute to trigger, for me, yet thanks to how undemanding this game is, I had no problems running 10 instances of it.

Mapper
Make a new map 10 times.

Editor>New Map>Enter Name>Quit>Repeat

Creator
Publish a map on the Workshop.

While editing a map, there is a button in the menu called 'Publish on Workshop', however you need to set a description for this.

Browser
Download a map from the Workshop.

You don't actually have to play the map for this achievement to trigger, yet you have to restart your game.

Classic Mode
Enable pixelation.

This can be done under Settings>Graphics>Pixelation.

Scholar
Open the Wiki from the game.

In the main menu, press the 'About' button and then the button next to 'Wiki'.

The Spiral
Hidden
New with 6.0
Round and round it goes...
As the image would imply, you have to create such a spiral with your conveyor belts. However, it has to carry some items during that time! So just convert a straight bit of one of your lines to such a spiral temporarily and this should unlock.

The Ultimate Form
Hidden
New with 6.0
Join Them.
You have to 'control' a router by ctrl+clicking on one.

Architect
New with 6.0
Create 20 schematics.

Just as easy as it sounds: Press 'F' to select some blocks, then click on 'Save Schematic...' and repeat 20 times. (Schematics from mods don't count)

Global Domination
Global Domination
New with 6.0
Capture every sector on Serpulo.

This is actually an insane Achievement: there are more than 250 areas, yet thanks to bojianh, there are some really nice and easy strategies in this great discussion!

Here is a summary of the ideas discussed:
Setup
You need a few Sectors only producing as many resources as possible and then Launching them via a Launch Pad (You will have to set what sector to launch them to).
There is no exact goal on how much production you need, but the more you set up, the more rapidly you can expand, so it is worthwhile to spend a lot of time on this step early on.

Here is the workshop item you can use:
https://steamproxy.net/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2343750512

If you want to insert it yourself, here is a pastebin link[pastebin.com] to the Schema - I sadly can't directly put it into this guide, as it far excedes the maximum character limit.

In order to get the extraction schema to work, you will need:
  • A Core Nucleus (setting your unit-limit to 24)
  • A Map containing Copper, Lead, Coal, Titanium and Thorium
  • 6222 Energy
  • 6 Titanium Belts full of Sand feeding a Mass Driver that is targeting the middle Mass Driver
  • 24 Megas (T3 Flying Support) and 24 Quasars (T4 Ground Support) for Titanium mining
  • 1 Titanium Belt full of Thorium directly feeding the Core (The Megas will automatically take it)
  • Link outside Mass Drivers to an external Mass Driver.
  • Try to ensure that all water extractors work at 100% (or more), so make sure they aren't placed on the dark volcanic or the white tiled ground.

Now all that is left to do is use a Launch Pad to directly supply new sectors you want to conquer with resources!

The general idea is to use 15x15 Core blueprints to defend against everything: if one of these don't work for a given sector (After all, certain constellations could still get through the defences) you should either use a blueprint from a higher Threat level or actually manually place some more defences.
Once more, all these great blueprints were created by bojianh!

Enemy Bases
These are a little trickier, and only a single blueprint is used for them, since they can't be automated anyway and will require you to lead your units:
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
After building up your invasion force, it might be a good idea to rotate the factories in order to produce lower Tier units (you can place the same factory on the exact same spot with a different orientation and you won't have to rebuild it).

The strategy itself depends on the difficulty once again. For Medium and the two High variations, all that needs to be done is building a small fleet and flying it around the defences in order to directly attack the Core Structure.
  • Medium: ~4 Zeniths (T3 Flying Assault Units)
  • High - Thorium Walls and Fuse Turrets: ~9 Zeniths (T3 Flying Assault Units)
  • High - Surge Walls and Spectre Turrets: ~4 Quads (T4 Flying Support Units)

For Extreme and Eradication, you will need to combine ~9 Quads (T4 Flying Support Units) with an equal amount of T4 Ground Units (pick whatever you prefer/think would work best in the scenario) and use the former to airdrop the latter next to the enemy core and simultaneously start bombing it. These will probably be the largest time-sinks of the bunch.

I think they added more achievements because there's stuff missing here and I have literally no idea how to get things like "unfortunately," or "router".

For 'Blitz', select sector 180 with preset T3 Factory and overdrive projector, rush build ~6 Mega and ground units then air drop them at the southern corner of cave near enemy base. Should be rather easy.

router.

Actually, "Head Start" can't be misable because after conquering all zones you can destroy any core with thorium reactor and launch new core.
Overall a very good guide, thanks

@FabianFriendShaped You need to hold ctrl and press on a turret (if not ctrl it might have been alt)
FabianFriendShaped 15 Jul, 2023 @ 6:02pm
there's an achievement called "Direct Control" for manually controlling a turret- does anyone know how to do it?

Note: The kamikaze achievement works with other explosive materials too. Coal on your starter unit actually works!

Note for Lone Guardian: Prebuilt structures, such as in salt flats, are okay.

@Xayder101 "A Spectacular Disaster" is no longer attainable, it seems.
"Assured Victory" *is* technically miss-able
"There are naval units for that" is missing, though.
It would also appear that the "Completionist" achievement no longer exists.
