That actually only happened once with another mod, when the new human portraits came out and the portrait structure was thrown a bit messed up as a result.
But other than that, you really don't need to worry that something about it won't work just because the launcher marks it as outdated.
The launcher automatically reports everything as outdated that was not uploaded after the current patch, completely independent of whether it works or not.
I just don't intend to download and then reupload all my mods after every patch or bugfix without changing anything.
You are all welcome to add my mods to yours, create collections, reupload them somewhere else, and/or use assets (clothing/species portraits/whatever) of them for your mods.
I didn't make em for myself, but so that people can have fun with them, and if they help to create more mods for people to enjoy, it's all the better.
So yeah, that's sort of a general permission for everyone to do everything.
Of course, I would be very happy about a mention in the credits.
