Happy Moonfest everyone!
This day marks the onset of winter when we join in feasting, dancing, and singing! It is a time for us to celebrate and honor our ancestors and the respected dead. Other viewers gather around the barn, and we circle the worshipers of Sehanine Moonbow, who are here this night to preform the Mystic Rites of the Luminous Cloud which transforms into scintillating streaks of light that fly across the starry heavens!

On this day, we ask to be blessed by our ancestors' graves and perform the Ritual of Remembrance. Many other folk of the Sword Coast also gather behind me, telling stories of the deeds of their ancestors and of the gods until deep into the night. More speak of past heroes, great treasures, and lost cities! It can be quite exciting!

Heralds of Faerûn, such as myself, have a number of special duties for Feast of the Moon, prime among these is to perform the Bloodsong ceremony, at which I must publicly recite the genealogies of each noble family in the area. In this way, the other Heralds can be reaffirmed by a noble family's traditional authority and status, as well as the respect accorded to them.

As a Priestess I'll also hold rites, while other patrons preform ceremonies, and festivals! Many of us, though not all ~ (I'm looking at you, Duke Zeno!), focused on remembering the dead in one way or another.

halflings are now gathering in Worship of the deity Arvoreen, performing the Ceremony of Remembrance to honor those who died defending their community, and the priests of Bhaal recount tales of heroic slayings. Guardians gather for ritual salutes, martial weapons displays, chanted prayers, and the offering of weapons used in a defensive action.

I hear others calling this day the Commemoration of the Fallen. They spend their time recounting the battles and deeds of those who died, dedicating new weapons and armor to their memory.

Soon a larger holy festival with the Swords Cast Down ritual in which weapons are thrown on the ground with chanting and covered with fresh flowers will commence. As I observe the festival, I see a man in a quiet ceremony, observing the scarecrow in the fields, but my attention is brought back by the song and colorful arts ~
