Introduction
When playing Mashed, most likely you've experienced the jump bug, one where you trip over nothing while jumping, and fell down, making you lose the race. This is especially annoying in maps where jumping is part of the main track, since there will be no other way around. For example, this picture is from the Tierra Pedra track, while fighting the helicopter.
Step 1: Browse Local Files
Right-click on Mashed from the Steam Library. Right click on it, select Properties, then Local Files. Next, click on the Browse Local Files option. This should open a new window in your Windows Explorer.
Step 2: Find the Mashed Application
Switch to the new Explorer window that just opened. Find the MASHED application in the folder, and right click on it. Then, click Properties.
Step 3: Run the Program in Compatibility Mode
Open the Compatibility menu, check the box, and run the program in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Click Apply, close the window, and launch the game.
Additional Info & Another Alternative
The fix should have worked, and jumps should work normally. However, there is ONE side effect. The Steam Overlay became disabled, so you cannot open your overlay, chat, or take screenshots while running the game.

There is actually another simpler way to overcome the jumping bug. When you're about to jump, swerve your car a little to the right or left, by tapping on the turn button. Sadly, this doesn't work all the time (but it rarely fails, most of the time it works), and can mess with your handling a bit. Personally, I prefer to just swerve a bit before a jump rather than changing the compatibility mode.

Credits to Goose274 for finding the compatibility mode solution on a Discussions page. I created this guide so it can be found easier by new players. Link to discussion here.

I played Mashed on a Windows 7 PC, so I'm not really sure if this solution would work on older or newer systems. If you tried this method on a system other than Windows 7, feel free to share the info.

Actually I wonder if the publisher cut ties with the developer without aquiring the fully loaded files, so they were forced to publish this one instead.

Mashed in particular is strange as Fully Loaded was released on PC so I'm wondering why they didn't just release that one here instead.

Cool! But I just wish developers of old games care more about their older titles now that there's Steam, you know? Some old games on Steam are not the full version, which is a shame because Steam is a super-easy way to find old games.

https://cloud.mail.ru/public/C6pz/EKkpBnM2V/ here you go, download and open the zip and copy those files to your mashed folder and it will convert your copy of Drive to Survive into Mashed Fully loaded, when the game starts just make sure you go and change the options as the sound will be down and autosave will be disabled. You'll also need to put in the code that unlocks all the content as our copy of mashed doesn't know how to open the first events or the tutorials, preventing you from playing through the game, I haven't found a workaround yet.

I run the game on 1366x768 with no problems. What bothers me is that there's a longer version of the game, which some say was only available on PS2. Take a look at the Store Page's screenshots, there are some cars and tracks we cannot get.

I also recommend using 1920 x 1440 as it is the highest 4:3 resolution offered by the game, and as there is currently and probably never will be a widescreen patch, may be desirable.

You're welcome. Your fix is way too important to only be a discussion comment :lunar2019laughingpig: though I rarely use the compatibility mode

oh cool, nice to see you made a guide based on my fix, thanks. I actually found this fix while I was playing on my old Windows XP machine, wondered why it was always bugged on my Windows 7 and 10 machines and tried to run in compat mode, and it fixed it so there you go.
