MV Cinti 2

解説

This is an overhauled variant of MV Cinti, which was originally uploaded in January. Cinti 2 contains all new features of Stormworks v1.0, including beacon locators, equipment lockers and new doors. She's now powered by a water-jet propulsion system and received a stern thruster for better maneuvering in port. The air compressor received an update to the logic. The towing winch was replaced and the deck features a little runabout. The crane is all new and remote-controlled. The new fire control system includes a centralized pump in the bow and water hoses can be attached at three different locations throughout the ship and on deck. The refueling system received an overhaul and is now more conveniently accessible. The charttable MC was replaced and the chief of operations now has access to an emergency beacon locator (can be muted).

Overall, I figured that this ship is different enough to warrant a new upload, I hope you agree. :-)

The following Passages will instruct you how to use the various complex systems of the vessel and provide a brief understanding of the underlying design principles.

1. Turn ON the compressor (yellow box, rear section of the engine room)
2. Open the main starter valve (to the right of the compressor)
3. Turn ON the "fuel pump" for both the port and the starboard engine (one of the keybuttons on the side of the engines)
4. Turn ON the "coolant pump" for both engines (keybutton on the floor right in front of the engines)
5. WAIT until the air pressure gauges reads >11 bar (big dial between both engines)
6. Fully OPEN the starter valve on ONE of the engines (throttle lever in front of the engines)
7. Engine should start up, once the engine's status indicator turns green, CLOSE the starter valve of that engine (this is important, otherwise there's not enough pressure to start the second engine!)
8. WAIT until the air pressure reaches >11 bar again.
9. Fully OPEN the starter valve of the second engine.
10. Once that engine's status light is green, CLOSE the starter valve again.
11. Switch ON the alternators of both engines (small switches on the electrical panel, front right in the engine room)
12. Turn on the two water jet pumps (starboard side, next to the emergency exit)

keep the compressor ON, otherwise your foghorn won't work

I adopted the modular map by Kasekuchen for the charttable. Check it out!

Do whatever you want with this ship and it's components. Modify it, change it, re-purpose it, copy the microcontrollers and upload it all on the workshop. If you find a way to make this ship better, I want to see it! A heads-up would be nice, because I'd love to check out what you do with this creation.

Go nuts! Have fun!

It's like a reverse-bilge pump of realism - this ship is over the top fantastic! Handles like a dream as well - way too easy to get amidship with another vessel for boarding, etc. Well done! I like the strong naval reference theme.

Still one of the best ships in SW. A minor update would send this back to the front page of the workshop.

the one ship that made me question my intelligence and sanity, with three people trying to figure it out before coming back to the manual.

Man, can we just get the right waterjet to work right in reverse? Otherwise, this thing is perfect

One of my all time favorite ships! The new update made it even better! Do you have any plans to add a heading hold or autopilot?
