Infamy Points
Infamy Points are earned through completing Infamy Tasks, and can be used to purchase modifiers on new Operations. Once earned, Infamy Points are available across all gangs, with all gangs contributing towards completing the Infamy Tasks. The higher your total Infamy Points the more modifiers you can purchase, and this guide shows you how to unlock 80+ Infamy Points before your first real Operation.
Story Mode (Optional)
Story mode is strongly encouraged by the devs and has 3 Tasks worth 9 Infamy Points available for completing the story. Unfortunately due to a bug many players are not getting Infamy from this. Since Story Mode can be skipped, and currently bugged, I have put this as optional and not counted the 9 points in the 80+ claim. If you do get these points or the devs patch the game you will be 9 points up on this guide.
Requirements
You must have created a gang and completed the “tutorial” Operation. This is part of normal gameplay and gets you to the point where you can launch your first proper Operation where you select the difficulty and get your first chance to spend Infamy Points on Operation modifiers.

You are now at the point where you can use this guide to get yourself over 80 Infamy Points before you launch that first proper Operation with your primary gang.

During that tutorial Operation you will likely earn a handful of points through playing normally.
  • Lead a gang of 5 fighters – 1 Infamy Point
  • Put 10 enemy (each class) Out of Action – 5 classes – 1 Infamy Point each – 5 Total
  • Tier 3 score with an (House) gang – 3 Infamy Points
Customise the colour of your gang for an easy 1 extra point, and you have 10 Infamy Points in total to get started with. Save your gang and quit back to the front-end menu.
Creating Additional Gangs
To avoid wasting credits and expensive mistakes on your main gang, a lot of what we do now will be creating new gangs and making use of the initial funds available. The point is to complete specific Infamy Tasks, not to have a valid gang, as we will not be launching any missions with these. Once the Tasks are completed and credits run out, these gangs can be deleted.

When creating new gangs the House doesn’t matter. Select Custom Gang as we want all the funds to spend how we want. Don’t recruit a Leader. Instead go to Operations, select the hardest difficulty [6 DEADLY] and the Training Ground as one of your Facilities. This combination boosts the Training Grounds for a 20% discount hiring fighters, and reduces the cost of Skill and Stat upgrades. The second Facility doesn’t matter – it won’t be used.

With the small initial pool of Infamy Points you have start buying:

[EPIC] Dubious Contracts (6 points) – Reduces the cost of hiring fighters
[RARE] Persistant Haggler (3 points) – Increases the selling price of your equipment to the store.
Recruit and buy skills
Now you can recruit a Leader at a discount and make a profit from them. Look for the one with the highest combined value of equipment. Strip off the armour and weapons into the Stash, go to the Shop and sell everything you have to get your credit balance above 1170.

DEADLY difficulty, Training Ground and one rank of Dubious Contracts makes a Mighty Ganger cost 1170 credits and has 1800XP available to spend on upgrades.

Pick Traits that complement the Class and start upgrading. The plan here is to buy 10 skills (5 Passive, 5 Active) and upgrade them all to rank 3. Focus on two or three primary stats, upgrade those each to 12 points, and as you apply the upgrades, add skills and level them up you also increase your rank unlocking all 5 tiers of skills.

This combination of actions completes multiple Tasks:
HIRED GUNS – Recruit a Top Juve or higher – one per class – 3 Infamy Points each – 15 Total
CAREERS – Basics – Rank 1 skills – one per class – 1 Infamy Point each – 5 Total
CAREERS – Mastery – Rank 3 skills – one per class – 3 Infamy Points each – 15 Total
GANG – Juve Roster – Reach Rank V with 5/10/15 fighters – earns 1/3/6 Infamy Points – 10 Total
COSMETIC – Apply gang colours on 5 gangs – 3 Infamy Points

Do this once for each class to get all the Infamy Points above.

Each gang you run through in this way earns you more Infamy Points allowing you to buy additional ranks of Dubious Contracts and Persistent Haggler, making recruits cheaper and kit worth more. With spare credits buy some Competent Juves and get them up to Rank V working on Juve Roster. Also use Wipe Skill for a Controlled Memory Wipe. This is working towards one of the longer tasks of wiping 50 times. Once gets you a quick 1 Infamy Point, and 10 wipes gets you 3 points. Getting to 50 is covered later.
Upper Echelon
As you are running through the above steps for each class now is a great time to get this Task done – Upgrade any primary stat to 25 without using implants. This will require you to match your preferred House +6 stat with a Class also boosting the same stat, then picking the Trait that boosts it:
  • Goliath - Toughness - Heavy or Brawler & Resiliant
  • Escher - Agility - Saboteur & Agile
  • Orlock - Ranged Aptitude - Deadeye or Heavy & Focused
If you are doing this to the Mighty Ganger, get them to Rank V and promote to Leader for the extra +2, then invest XP to raise the stat to 25 and earn 6 Infamy Points.
Strength in Numbers
If you have done the above steps you should be well over 60 Infamy Points, making some other Tasks easy to clear up. Strength in Numbers has 3 parts, to lead a gang of 5, 10 and finally 15 fighters.

Run through the new gang steps above and recruit the cheapest Juve with the most valuable equipment. Strip the weapon and armour and sell it, which should be more than covering the cost of each new recruit.

Fill your roster for 9 more Infamy Points.
Mind Wipe 3
Mind Wipe 3 – Use mind wipe 50 times.

You should have already managed 1 and 10 but getting to 50 is tougher. By waiting until you have atleast 30 Infamy Points you can invest in [LEGENDARY] Contact: Implant-Surgeon for all 3 ranks and 75% cost reduction of Controlled Memory Wipe. Start a new gang, get some cheap recruits and add and wipe a basic skill a few times. The cost goes up with each wipe, but it should be quick to reach 50 total wipes for 6 Infamy Points.

First Operation
Now with over 80 Infamy points unlocked you can go back to your original gang and launch your first proper Operation for them. Select whatever difficulty you want to play at, but now with so many Infamy points you can buy many more boosters.

I would recommend grabbing some of the equipment crates, as having Tier V equipment so early on will give you a big advantage in combat. You can then work towards some of the other Infamy tasks that come naturally such as killing X of each class, beating gangs higher than certain ratings and getting your fighters up to rank X.
