AWG Concrete Shapes Collection

8 Basically shaped blocks of concrete

I wanted some easier to obtain construction material and so I completed this project for the sake of adding some more large grid variety in construction material, and for something to do with stone outside of ore conversion. You can convert stone to concrete in an assembler, and then use it to make the concrete blocks.

Beware, concrete is incredibly heavy, so I recommend ground vehicles to transport it. It also has a low health:weight ratio, so its main benefit is low cost for size and easy obtainability.

I will likely not be adding new blocks to the ACSC, so please refrain from requests in the comments unless you think the block is dearly needed.

The concrete is just made from stone currently, gravel would have been a better choice, but I wanted to keep it simple to 'early' structure building in survival playthroughs. Reinforced concrete using either tubes or steel plates may come as a tougher version.

Author's Note

This is my first 'proper' new workshop upload in a long time, so I hope the formatting and layout are easy to understand. This was made for myself primarily, and I am publishing it outside of my CWP (Found on my profile) as a nicety.

I would just like to see this use gravel like so many other concrete mods, I think most rely on that first resources that you get from stone and don't have much use for gravel, hense concrete.

I would sugest actually construction components. can be assembled in survival kit and the description of the item is generic enough it could be taken to be iron mesh grid or rebar

For reinforced concrete I would suggest small tubes for a cheaper version between basic concrete and the better reinforced concrete, I would also suggest making small grid concrete an option for those who use mods that make stationary small grid bases possible.

Im not sure why using gravel to make concrete would cause problems though.

@AWG "Reinforced concrete using either tubes or steel plates may come as a tougher version." I would recommend metal grids. This would be a bit expensive but more true to RL reinforced concrete.

I'd like to see a few build states added, tbh - atm it is not possible to easily distinguish a bloch that has been just placed down from a halfway or fully built one. Just a few textures (slightly/heavily cracked, in addition to the one we have already) would suffice imo.

added cementproduction to the mod... 1000 gravel will be burned in 300 seconds to 1000 cement, 2500 concrete will be made of 1000 stone, 1000 gravel, 500 cement and 500 ice in 60 seconds. Starts in Survivalkit. Tried to fix the metalscrapproblem but dont found a solution... :( but i dont think it will be a problem because producing metall right away from stones goes much faster than to build and scrap the concrete....

it means, 1000 liter have a weight of 2400kg. means 1 liter have a weight of 2,4kg (make it round, take 2,5...) insted of 26,500kg for these 45 liter should the weight be 112.5 kg. Thats realistic then. The weight the concrete weights now is absurd high and have nothign to do with reality. Could you change the weight please? Thanks.

so, i hope you get it now, that i made concrete real in density, not like this mod here is with 588,9kg/l whioch is "little" bit to much, right?? To read the comments and understand them is maybe somehting you should think about before you start complaining....

i am german bricklayer, i learned all about concrete so you dont have to tell me these things. Why do you think i changed the density at all if i would not have knownledge about it?? And i recommend to read my comments again then will you realize, that i made the concrete realistic with 2,5kg per liter!. This mod here have a density of 588,9 kg per liter which is absolutly unrealistic! just if you dont realized it ingame...
