WARNING: This car's cooling system is now completely broken thanks to version v1.1.3! It can now only be driven with overheating off!

This was my first attempt at making something fuel efficient yet fun to drive. The 80's were full of real-life cars that fit that description, so I decided to draw inspiration from icons such as the DeLorean DMC-12. This little car can drive 4 people all the way across the mainland with plenty of fuel to spare, but can also accelerate sharply and handle corners.

For safety, the engine is cooled by a custom cooling system which keeps the motor at about 33 degrees (C) or lower as compared to a radiator system which can easily reach 100. Even if the engine takes damage and revs uncontrollably, it shouldn't catch fire. A violent head-on collision can still start a fire however, so drive carefully.

Features

- Five-speed automatic transmission
- Custom cooling system
- AWD
- Launch Control
- Full lighting with turn signals, cabin, brake, reverse, and fog lights, and an automatic trunk light.
- Heater
- Seating for four
- Functional hood, trunk, and fuel cap
- Cruise Control
- Speedometer unit options (MPH, KM/H, meters per second). To change units, select the blue microcontroller in the engine bay and select from the drop-down list
- Electrical cable anchor in engine bay

Warning: if you are playing with Infinite Electricity on, the parking brakes will always be on. To fix this, replace the Parking Brake control in the cabin with a toggle button, and connect that button to the brakes on the wheels.

@Plasmetic Raven It sounds like the parking brakes are on. Are you playing with Infinite Electricity? If so, you'll need to either replace that "parking brakes" circuit breaker with a button, or turn Infinite Electricity off

Engine starts but no power is transmitted to the rear wheels even with Drive activated.

@Chris Hmm, you could try spawning it in another save to check if that's the problem, I know the update treats old saves really weird. I did check on an old world on patch day, and I had a similar problem a couple times but it hasn't happened since and I have no idea what caused it. It's really strange that the same creation works differently for different people, so I don't think it's a logic issue.

I can't get it to start. It's got gas and when i try to start it the thing cranks up, but never starts, and yes it has a full tank of gas.

Enjoy!

Thanks, it works now

@milo.1022 It works okay for me, by any chance are you playing on an old save in the new update? There have been issues with saves like that not having creations spawn with fuel. I would check the new menu to see if that box is ticked, or try it in a new save?

It's not working for me when i try to start it

Nope, that's just a small diesel. I made this about a week before the update dropped, though I'd like to swap in a custom engine if I can make it work!

Is that a Custom Engine in there?
