Description
"The journey to becoming proficient in all types of magic is one that takes many mortal lifetimes to complete, but every wretched witch and malevolent mage has to start somewhere and it was on this path, a long long time ago that Merasmus embarked. Back when he was nothing more than a scrappy spell-caster specializing in fish-based-magic, he crept into the depths of a dank dungeon where he would meet and defeat the infamous necromancer, supreme litch and bonelord Rhlkhab'rkholan (or Bob for short) in a battle of magic and then trade him for his hat, robbing him of his immortality.

With the spoils of his victory atop his head Merasmus discarded his former hat, as it had lower magic armor and lacked bonuses to mana regeneration. It then laid forgotten on that musky dungeon floor, for eons, biding its time... waiting... for YOU! (CRACKLING THUNDER SOUND)

Though it may be old, dated and frankly, damp, it remains a strong fashion statement.

One that states, "I know magic! And I smell like fish!"
